The way around Epson ripping you off is to use compatible cartridges. They are much cheaper than Epson and will work in most printers. You can buy them in bulk from places like Amazon. As for the print quality I have not noticed the difference. Some printers might say that you are not using Epson ones, but you can dismiss them and carry on.

check the cable connection. make sure it is connected properly. if not solve try to change it with a known good cable

There is normally a small sensor flag in the top of the paper entrance area. This tells the machine when there is paper in the tray. Check that the sensor arm is not broken or out of position.

The Nx300 printer needs to have all the colosr and the black with ink in them so that they will print. For the printer will not print unless there is ink in all the cartiages

In this option, you have choice to print only with black colour.

You most probably have a scrap of paper lodged in the feed path, or switch that is jammed. Try to look very closely at the input rollers and points beyond where the paper feeds in. Somewhere in that path there will be an obstruction or something jamming the switch. Roll the rollers gently wiping it off with a clean cloth checking every corner and side for any obstruction. Check the round robber rollers too as they might not be functioning properly or stuck. There is definitely something in the feed or output path that causes this.

As for the blotches on the left, you might need to check your printhead for problems.

Sorry It is most likely fried, now if you are lucky it may just be the power adapter.

first check the printer for bits of papper use a low pressure vaccum or blower to clean the papper then remove the printer tray and install them properly then switch off the printer and remove the usb cable and the power cable wit for few minutes an place them back then switch on the printer and the computer
