Hello, i am having issues
Hi tadams649...
To fix an unresponsive touchpad on your laptop, reactivate it by using the Function key on the keyboard and the Fn key.
This process is different for each computer manufacturer.
If unsure which Function key enables and disables the touchpad, try each one at a time and then
attempt to use the touchpad after each one.
A...Locate the "Fn" key of the laptop keyboard.
The "Fn" key has different colored text or the key is a different color.
B...Locate the function (F1 through F12) key at the top of the keyboard that disables or enables the touchpad on the laptop.
The key typically has an icon that resembles a touchpad with a finger touching it or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.
C...Press both the "Fn" and touchpad Function key at the same time to reactive the touchpad on your laptop.
Move your finger along the touchpad to verify that it works. Press the combination at any time to disable the touchpad again.
Note: Mac computers use "F2" to enable and disable the touchpad.
D. Sony Vaio Users: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Double click the Mouse icon.
Look at the top left hand side of the page, at the top and make sure that the "Tapping" box is unchecked, if it is checked then, you will uncheck it.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up
Blue screen where a problem
Blue screen errors are sometimes caused by faulty memory or a driver is incorrect.
Try updating the Windows files with Windows Updates and browse dell.com for driver updates, then test the RAM by clicking start and typing memcheck into the search box.
Hope that elps.
Continuous peep and no display
This is described by dells error codes as a ram error so check their position and power yourself or take to someone who knows what their doing if you dont feel comfortable messing around with hardware. Hope this helps.
Battery wont charge
If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Blue Screen Of Death
- You may need to roll back system with System Restore (press F8 during boot and choose safe mode). Start > Search type System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates.
- Uninstall last program(s) that was installed, again in safe mode.
- Re-install Windows. Clean install works best.
- Test one DIMM at time. One slot at a time. To eliminate possible bad RAM.
- Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.
How do i boot my dell inspiron mini
The problem is most likely in the DC jack in the laptop, it works it self loose over time until there is no power or intermittent power. The only solution is to dismantle the laptop down to the motherboard level to replace the plug or resolder back in place.
