Make sure you have the latest version of TomTom HOME ? ... or re-install it. Then try to connect (the GPS) again and see if you still have the same problem. Worst case, try contacting TomTom Support online via email or by phone for help.

Yes, definitely You can, but that will not provide correct position of GPS signal. And GPS signal will be showed with delay.Otherwise You can Use TomTom as You walking,Battery will not last much long. So make sure You charge Your TomTom Nav in full. :)

Hi there, i had the same problem, device did not recognized my sim card:1. Sim card could be damaged,2. Sim card is too big and software not recognize it,3. Or has been manufactured by less known manufacturer.4. Sim card slot is dirty, try clean it with clean cotton pad, do not use water - that might damage Your device. Or use, air-spray as it used for cleaning small parts of pc, eg. keyboard, motherboard, etc.What i have done:Brought sim card SanDisk 16GB one, since then I have no problems with it.Hope it helps, take care.

This is either a Firefox error or Internet Explorer error, probably due to a conflicting add-on. You can either try using your TomTom on a different computer, or follow the following steps:

1. Disable all of Firefox's add-ons, you have to open the browser in its Safe Mode (no relation to Windows' own Safe Mode) by clicking Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). A quicker way is to press the Windows key (in XP, follow this by pressing R), type Firefox -safe-mode, and press Enter. Disable all add-ons in Firefox by starting the browser in Safe Mode and selecting the "Disable" option. In the Firefox Safe Mode dialog box that appears before Firefox opens, click "Disable all add-ons" and choose the Make Changes and Restart button to run the browser with no add-ons or extensions enabled.
2. Disable all of Internet Explorer add-ons by clicking the Start button , click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). 3. Try opening your TomTom or whatever you were doing that caused this error again. If the problem is still present, uninstall the Add-Ons in Firefox and try again. If this doesn't work, completely uninstall Firefox and install the latest version of Firefox.
4. If you have an Anti-Virus program running, such as AVG, Norton, Avast, etc., temporarily disable the Real-time Protection and see if the error goes away.

1-Your tom tom does not have the device driver needed to connect to your phone?
2- Turn off the bluetooth device the tom tom is a bluetooth device and the two of them are probably arguing the tom tom and your actual bluetooth.
3- You have to put the tom tom in discover mode and let the PHONE find the tom tom then the tom tom should find the phone, once this happens you enter the code and tell the phone that this is a trusted device. The same thing that was done with your actual bluetooth device. Hope this helps

i have the same problem when i put a passcode on to conect i have to delete the passcode and resset the sat nav by holding down the power button for 10 seconds,hope this helps

i have same problem

make sure its charged for atleast two hours.

if it freezes, you can press and hold the power button for 15 seconds until it shuts off then do the same to turn it on and it will reset by itself.

If you have an SD card in try removing that before you power up.

You may also want to try the hard reset.
Paper clip in the tiny hole by the card slot.
Push it in firmly whilst the unit is powered up (not too hard) for about 3 seconds then release

You may have to power down and then up again and even hold down the power button a little longer the first time you do this

You cant increase the 48 fav limit, but there is another way to handle the problem.

1: Download and install http://www.poiedit.com
2: Find the file Mapsettings.cfg on device
3: Open this file in Poiedit
4: Delete unwanted positions
5: Save as _fav.ov2
6: Place _fav.ov2 in map folder.

Then, navigate to poi, choose _fav and choose location from there..

When doing a map update, just copy over _fav.ov2 to new map folder...
