visit Nextar.com to order your desired maps update and Check the overview description to see which SD card lists your GPS model number and serial number. Order the matching card. Remove the existing SD card. This is usually found in a thin, rectangular slot on the side of the Nextar GPS. Insert the SD card with the maps update into the empty SD card slot. Press until it clicks into place. Reset the unit by pressing the "Reset" or pushing a pin into the "Reset" hole. Click the "Navigation" button to have the maps automatically update on the GPS.

Your device runs Windows ce. So the only way to continue using your device is to switch software. There is a software that is compatible with almost every GPS in the world today. It is called IGO. Maps are available every 4 months for free. Search google for IGO and there are plenty of GPS sites that offer it for download. All you have to do is rename the IGO.exe file you your devices navigation.exe name. If you need further assistance I'll be glad to help.

You should be able to do a master reset such as with the garmins you push bottom right corner when turning on. Check mfg website to do a master reset

Plug the new SD card in and reset the unit.

Unscrew the 4 screws on the back and gently pry open the casing with a guitar pick or an old giftcard. You will have access to the battery. Good luck...

Once again, it's a software issue or a corrupted SD card. You can purchase a new card but the same old mapping on Nextar.com or Navteq.com. To ensure that your software stays working properly, backup the SD card onto your computer so if the SD card gets corrupted you can restore the software and files back onto your card or a new SD card that can be purchased for around 20 bucks.

There could be few reasons for this problem.

1. The built-in rechargeable battery is almost dead. Please recharge the battery. If the battery is almost dead then it will not turn on even in in the initial hours of charging. Charge it longer than useal.
2. The battery has reached end of life. Replace the battery.
2. The unit may be obstructed by a material such as heat insulation, please remove the obstruction.
3. The unit may be titled too far; please hold the unit upright.
4. If the system software fails to function by chance, please restart the unit again.

My strong believe is that the problem is in the battery. Please make sure your AC adaptor or car adaptor is properly connected to the main unit and that the adaptor is receiving AC power. If problem persists, there may be a hardware problem with charging circuit.
