Any small bit of metal getting on the element can cause it to spark. Make sure its clean and any metal pot bottoms have no sharp edges etc.

You have something that is a BAD connection. It could be dangerous. Time to call appliance service, but ask for an estimate first.

Three possibilities:
1. Bad Broil element.
2. Wiring problem to broil element.
3. Electronic controller failure (this can be repaired).

I know this is an old post, but, I took Oven Troubles advice and pulled the circuit panel and found two of the posts on the board under the plug to be cracked. I soldered all the posts and have NO F3 / F2 flashes ! Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

is it the indicator lights at the top or just everything in the oven that is not working??

If it is just the light in the oven and the oven not heating then you are having a problem with your control board.

Unplug the unit and remove the back access panel for the control board. Check for any loose or burnt wires. If none are found, replace the control board. Here is a link to that part. Electronic Control Board Be sure to take note as to where the wires go!

I will need the complete model #. There should be a sticker near the bottom front behind the drawer. Can't use the # that is on the owners manual.
