GE electric range oven will not heat?

Its your oven igniter that's bad. The oven igniter connections are underneath the oven. To get access to the oven igniter glow bar electrical connector, I take out the bottom storage drawer completely then get a flashlight or floodlight to see under there, and then I can see the oven igniter glow bar connector. Its easy to replace, just take the bottom oven panel from inside your oven off, then you remove the flame spreader metal shield, then you will see the oven igniter mounted on your burner tube, just remove the oven igniter off from your burner tube and install the new one. Unplug your range first before changing it. Here's the oven igniter for your model you can order: Igniter WB13K21 Order now for same day shipping. 365 day return policy. I smell gas and my burners wont light - is there a...

The best way to find out if if your stove has a pilot light, is to lift the top panel of the range . The pilot will usually be located between the burners. Typically you will have two pilots. One for the left and one for the right. The pilot light will ignite with a match without having to turn the burner knobs to the "on" position. Good luck

Www.ge.net How to get rid of flashing lock door on JGBP35

There is a button on the left upper corner by the door when you open oven. Hold the button down and press the clear button on the panel till the display clears itself. Just like that you have a functional oven.

What causes a loud bang from oven?

If you hear a loud bang the SECOND time you try to light an oven, it means you've just had a small explosion when the gas from the FIRST try ignited outside the heating tube. I would have a professional check your oven before using it again.

My GE XL44 Gas Range (Model JGBP34 GEP 1A) control

If you like the stove and it in good shape otherwise, have it fixed. The parts are still available. The stove in good used condition (without leak) is probably worth $75.00. May cost that much to repair it. Will cost approximately $450.00 to replace it with equal range. If it's a standing pilot model (no electricity needed) they are unavailable and your new range will require power to use the oven. Hope this helps.

Oven's bake funktion does not work

Hi,You need to replace the oven igniter. You will find that this is a very common problem with that model and other models that use this igniter. It is very simple to do.
Look inside the oven and you will find 2 screws at the bottom of the oven in the back. Loosen them up and remove the bottom panel of the oven.
Remove the broiler, and oven trays and it is a 10 minute swap out. Removing the above items allows you the access needed to get to the two screws that mount the oven igniter to the burner.
Using either a socket (1/4") or a nut driver, remove the 2 screws and unplug the igniter. The most difficult part of the exchange is unplugging the igniter. The plastic will most likely break because it has become very brittle by being exposed to the heat. Be careful to break only the part that is being replaced.
If you do happen to break the fittings, they can be replaced with any male/female connector. If you need to replace this, I recommend that you stay away from plastic encased plugs.
You then install the ingiter, plug it in, and you are back in business. It is a very simple part to replace, but it is costly.
Thanks and take care
