GE gas cooktop with 4

Sounds like a typical case of replacing the ignitor module.
Open the cook top and visually inspect all the porcelain elctrodes for breaks and crud build up etc. be sure the power is off...if all looks fine replace the ignitor module.

I have a general electric profile gas stove top.

Your "spark switches" have moisture on them. You can dry them out with a blow dryer or remove the knobs and covers and leave an electric fan blowing at the switches all night. After they dry out they will stop clicking. Click on the links below to read more:

You can get the main glass top, the part number is WB62T10525 and it runs just under $300.00, it is shown here as 51. It does take a bit of dis assembly to install it.

The main burner (left front) only heats on half

Your referring to an electric range I'm assuming. In that case the heating element is only heating to a mid-point then stopping. This typically means the heating element is burnt or is partially burned out. The element is usually user replaceable and requires the old one be unpluggude and replaced with a new one. You'll need to get the element from the manufacturer.

My large dual burner does not heat up completely.

The only way to find out the problem and repair it is to disassemble it..
Most have to be disassembled from the bottom, with the unit pulled and laying on a blanket to protect the top.)

Could be a bad switch, a bad element, or a wire is burnt off.

Good luck....

GE Profile glass top cooktop- burners do not heat,

If none of the burners are working but the pilot light does you are having a power problem and only getting 120 volts to it. Check the breakers to make sure they are on correctly. 240 volts is needed to operate the cooktop. Hope this helps. Rick

How do I disassemble the GE Built-In Gas Cooktop

Sorry, I have to jump in here, although I cannot read any of the experts advice on here, I think I can intuit most of it. I think you have done some of this, but to be sure here it is. Yes you have to remove the 5 burners, which does entail disconnecting and removing the ignitors with them, making note of which ignitor wires goes to which burner as these can be a pain to feed back up into there respective holes. You cannot lift the range top off without removing these burners, stupid design as our biggest problem is usually that the heat corrodes the screws or nuts that hold the burners to the cooktop. We then have to drill out these screws, damaging the burners themselves, and turning what should be a cheap repair, into a very expensive repair. Once the top is removed or set to the side on some models, you can get to the spark module. When you are done repairing this model, make sure you plug it into a 2000 joule or higher surge protector to help prevent this type of repair in the future. Good Luck, Appliance Specislists

Pilot keeps engaging, all 4 burners are clicking.

Usually, constant clicking is caused by water getting down under the glass or metal cooktop. Just unplug the unit and let it dry for a day or two.

Gas burners won't light

Make sure the little tiny flash holes are open. They allow a little bit of gas to seep out so the igniter can light the burner. If you can light the burners with a match, check those holes.
If yours are the "sealed" type burners, make sure they are not a half a turn out (180° around)
