Franklin Electronic Bible, KJ-21, 1st edition, 1989, quit
Marlene, My parents also gave us the KJ-21, about 1988, then costing $250. Still works great. Love it. Franklin.com. Response: "Unfortunately, the KJ-21 is no longer available. The current model is the KJV-570." Checked site for price: about $50. Don't know if it does same as KJ-21. Brother gave me KJV-450. Won't even go directly to "Jesus wept." Franklin,

What type of batteries to
That would depend on the model of your Franklin reader. Some, like the KJB-1440, take two CR2032 batteries. Others, like the KJB-1840, take four AAA batteries. If the batteries are long and skinny, they're AAAs. If they're flat like coins, they're CR2032s.

Bookcard and batteries for sale where to
The batteries that this uses are model CR-2032, which you can order online, from any retailer like amazon.com
I found a battery listing on Amazon, which seems like it's fairly cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-CR2032-Lithium-Ion-Battery/dp/B0001MQUOM
