I think that there may be more than one problem. Start testing the icemaker. If the icemaker is getting power, then the icemaker not dispensing is a separate problem. Test water valves, icemaker solenoid and motor.
Regarding the control problem, test wiring harness, and ensure that the replacement control assembly had been installed properly. Test all the temperature sensors, if one of them is shorted it can jam the control board. Fridge sensors must return an impedance comprised between few Ohms (about 40) and about 600K Ohms max. To find out values on your fridge, compare one sensor with the other ones. If temperature sensors are OK, check the humidity control board and double check all wiring.
Here all sensors present in your fridge.
Here all parts and diagrams for your appliance.
Please do not forget to leave feedback afterward.
Many thanks.

I have a GE Monogram

Newer Monogram refrigerators have had a problem with leaking from the ceiling of the freezer due to a drainage problem of the defrost water during the defrost cycle. FIRST, be sure that the water isn't coming from ABOVE the icemaker in the seams of the ceiling cover before proceeding.

When ice jams in the ejector the gears of the drive motor can be stripped. This is likely what happened in your case. The best course is to change the whole icemaker which should cost you about $150. You will need the full model number which is usually located above the refrigerator compartment in the compressor compartment on a sticker that should be easy to find.

Replacement is fairly easy as it sounds like you have gotten well into the icemaker itself.

Ice tray not filling and water collecting

Go to the back of the frige and turn off the water line. The solenoid may be leaking and may need replacement. Look to see if you can tell if the leak is there at the water solenoid or up inside. You could have a frozen water line going into the ice maker too. Use a hair dryer and heat the back of the frige where you see the water line. Then, turn water back on and see if you get flow into the ice machine. I tested the ice maker by pouring water in it and

Sounds like if you put water in ice maker and it dropped ice but won't make ice on it's own then the water valve or water filter is bad. Replace filter, purge air, then check a day or two later to see if it is making ice, if not then replace water valve on back of unit where water line ties in at.

Water freezes on slab & Builds Up will not fall on Wires

We had this problem. You need to clean the freezing try using a green scouring pad and the solution they recommend in the user manual. You need to scrub the tray with forward backward motions until slippery clean. All surfaces need to be clean and free of plack. it will work like new if you do this. Need to remove the cutting try first.

Replaced a water valve but still makes a chugging sound.

Get scouring pad (green pad) from supermarket and remove cutting try. Use pad and cleaning solution to really scrub the evaporator tray until slippery clean. Use forward to backward strokes, not left to right. Clean all surfaces of freezing tray and that should help.

Loud churning noise. Ice not dropping down.

Need to SCRUB the evaporator tray which is located in the back behind the cutting tray. Remove the cutting tray. Get some cleaning solution that they recommend (nickle safe). Get a green scouring pad from the supermarket and put the solution in it. Put your hand back in the metal tray and scrub top to bottom strokes (not left to right). Do this until the metal is slippery and free of scales. May take an hour while the solution dissolves the scales. After this, it will work like brand new, trust me.

My GE Monogram Ice Maker

Rwo things have to be checked out, viz., thermostat & the refrigerant gas(freon, cf4, etc.) which might require refilling, i.e. the pressure measured by their repairman will indicate the quantity. Another component is a fan./blower in the ice-maker to help circulation & cooling which might not be operational. Inserting your hand will be able to detect any air circulation inside the ice-maker. Naturally after shutting down the temp will rise if the thermostat/fan is not functional........sodeep

I need a water valve for a Monogram zd115 Ice

If you have the model number of the machine, or the old part in hand, you should be able to get your part at any appliance parts supply house (look in the yellow pages). It is better IMHO to take the part with you to the store.
Best regards, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this solution - thanx!
