Ceiling fan light bulbs rouotinely burn out in less than 4 hours of use
"The only things I know of that cause bulbs to blow are, defective
product, has been used its average life span, over voltage, heat and
vibration.
The implication is that this has happened repeatedly so defective product is unlikely.
If it had lasted its normal life span you would not be asking the question.
Over voltage is out because the switch is off.
Heat is out because the the bulb is not burning when it blows.
That leaves vibration. Some types of candelabrum bulbs seem to quite sensitive.
What's above the ceiling The tink you hear is the filament breaking
This most often happens when the bulb is hot. Very unusual to break
when cold unless dropped or mistreated.
Don't see a fire hazard because switch is off."
Wiring questions.
Red and black sounds like you might be dealing with a 220 volt circuit...both of them would be "hot" in this case. Are there any other wires here...a white one perhaps?
What kind of saf tbar and bracket for hampton bay 52 inch ceiling fan
Hampton Bay Ceiling Fans typically use a universal mounting system, which is compatible with most ceiling fan down rods and mounting brackets. If you have a 52 inch Hampton Bay Ceiling fan, you can use any standard mounting bracket and support bar (also known as a "J-Hook" or "Safety T-Bar") that is rated for ceiling fans up to the same weight and size. The weight of your specific fan should be listed in the product manual or on the manufacturer's website.
It's always a good idea to double-check the compatibility of any mounting hardware with your fan before purchasing, to ensure that it will provide a secure and stable installation.
