The # 5 thermistor , pt # WR55X10025, located at the bottom of the freezer , slightly in front of the drain , with 2 white wires going to it , slid into a housing . This thermistor , is the freezer thermistor , which tells the control board , the freezer temp , when to cycle off , and is associated with the fan speed . The " breathing " sounds like the fan speeding up and slowing down . Replaceing this thermistor , should fix the problem .
If you have tried resetting the temperature settings to the default values and the temperature remains at -9°F in the fridge and 37°F in the freezer, there could be an issue with the fridge's cooling system. Here are some additional things to check:
1. Make sure the fridge is receiving power. Check to see if the fridge is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning properly.
2. Check the temperature control board. The temperature control board is responsible for regulating the temperature in the fridge. If it is faulty, it can cause the temperature to remain at a fixed, incorrect value.
3. Check the condenser coils. If the condenser coils are dirty or obstructed, it can cause the cooling system to malfunction and result in incorrect temperatures.
4. Check the door gasket. If the door gasket is damaged or not sealing properly, it can cause the temperature inside the fridge to become too warm.
If none of these solutions fix the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the fridge's cooling system. In this case, it is recommended to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.
Regarding the ice maker working intermittently, this could be caused by a variety of factors such as low water pressure, a faulty water inlet valve, or a problem with the ice maker itself. It is recommended to troubleshoot these issues separately.
Hi,
Please ensure that the door is properly closed and that there are no leaks. You can also ensure that the temperatures are no colder than is required to cool or freeze your food as a very low temperature would require more work/energy from the fridge. Lastly, you can power cycle the fridge once and if it continues with the issue, you can return it.
Thank you.
The defrost drain would be causing the fridge to have water leaking out of it and you will need to also clean the defrosting drain as well or need to replace it.
Hi,
please make sure that temperature controls are set to the temperature that you want. Then, you'll want to double check that the power outlets that the freezer is plugged into still give out power by testing other appliances on them.
If the outlets don't work, then you would want to check the corresponding fuse in your fusebox because it might have switched off and just needs to be switched back.
Thank you.
That can be caused by two things
The air circulation fan has failed.
or
The cold comes from the freezer and if the defrost isn't working, you have a solid block of ice that doesn't allow cold air to go down to the fridge.

A freezer compressor is what pumps chilled Freon -- or another cooling agent -- through coils that line the freezer compartment. ... The cooling agent inside the compressor is sensitive to being moved around, which can cause knocking noises. Also, loose components can cause knocking sounds.
The technician is correct and you could take a water sample from a normal faucet and send it in to see how high the particulate and turbidity is. Then you can decide about a whole house filter. They can be expensive so get bids.
There's a leak in the hose between the water valve and the dispenser nozzle, or in one of the fittings to which the hose is attached. The fun part will be figuring out how to get inside the door to find the problem. Here's a link to a video that may get you started:

There is no service manual for that unit online. I can see 9 components on the main board that could be prone to failure and cause the symptoms that you describe. The main board is about 250 dollars.
