Jrp24bow3bb electric double oven control panel.

Hi rhonm,
You should have found a connection diagram in the top of the oven. If you didn't, call GE at the following number and they will send you one. 1-800-626-2005
It would be very difficult for any one to make a recommendation without seeing the oven or part. Are there one or two gray wires? My first guess is that they sent you the wrong part. See photo for typical double oven ERC.

I just tried plugging my new oven in (model number jrp24) and my GFI flips. The oven is off and the wires are connected properly. I live in a country that requires 220v, even though the oven says 120/

The model number according to GE says this is an electric oven. It states that this oven will only be Hard wired and not supplied with electricity using a Plug. If it is gas, only one leg of the 220 volt power will be utilized. and the other usually colored white indicating natural, or green indicating Ground. Or, there will be a switch like on all computers that you will simply move to the selected voltage of the country that you live in and this will correct the high or low voltage. I hope this helps, without the full model # I will not be capable of knowing the actual voltage that the appliance works with.

Heating element disconnected

Make sure to keep breaker to oven off because wire could short against back of oven and start a fire. You need to disconnect the tilt bracket and pull the oven out. Replace the clip on the wire if needed. Make sure to reattach tightly. Put it back in the wall, reattaching anti-tip bracket. It should work.

Tried to do self cleaning

Error code F2 on clean cycle is indicating that the maximum permissable cleaning temperature has been exceeded. (or it's got too hot!)

However it seems unlikely that that would happen in just 10 mins. more likely it is a problem with the oven temperature sensor which should be checked over as should the lock switches..

Double wall oven broiler goes

it could be the touch panel or the computer board, the model number you gave isn't the full model number like 10 different models came up,next time get the number off of the machine not the book,if this is a newer machine you can push the clear/off pad, unplug the touch panel ribbon for a minute or two,if the code comes back it's the computer board,if it doesn't come back it's the touch panel.he must have pulled out the tech sheet and showed you what it said for an f7 error code and if he said it's the panel he must have done this test.

Oven element will not come on but broiler works

There are three possible defects to conside. In order of likelihood given what you've described...

1) The bake element is defective. You can remove it and check it with an ohm meter. A good one would be roughly 20 to 40 ohms, a bad element has high (or very high) resistance.

2) The oven thermostat. It controls both the bake and broil elements, but has seperate control circuits (contacts) for each. The bake element is used most and most likely to fail. You *can* check for voltage while its operating, but if you aren't sure of what you're doing its an unnecessary danger. If you eliminate the element (#1 above) and the wiring (#3 below) then the thermostat is what you have to replace.

3) The wiring from the thermostat to the bake element could be defective. (I'm sorry, I don't know if your bake element has a socket or just wiring. It is possible for a bad socket to burn and pit the element's contacts and to have to replace both.). This is the least common cause, but if you test the bake element resistance at the thermostat, that includes the wiring, and if the element by itself is good, but not with the wiring then its the wiring. Since the broil element works, the wiring feeding power to the thermostat is good, and the only wiring to check was from the thermostat to the bake element.

I have a jrp24bod1bb but that model number doesn't

Hello- The oven control (computer/clock) is available thru applianceparts.com and repairclinic.com for about 120$. The control panel is about 250$. Make sure on-site diagnostics confirm which one before replacing. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed.  Thanks-  Ed

Replacement Element does not work

If it is a double circuit element, then you will only get 110 vlolts across one circuit, and 220 volts across the other circuit..
If however it is a single circuit element, and you are only getting 110 volts, then I would suggest that you have a high resistance somewhere that is stoping it from getting 220 volts.
Hook the element directly to a 220volt supply and check voltage .
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
