Charmglow electric fireplace flame does not

You will have to connect a 12v dc power supply to the flame motor. The controller on the board has fried. I built a regulated 12 v dc power supply and tapped it into the bulb circuit so it will power the motor when the bulbs come on. You may have to find an electrician or techie to rig this up safely.Good luck!

Charmglow electric heater blown fuse

Fuses blow for a reason. Almost every time there is a high amp draw due to many possible reasons, power is to unforgiving to gamble.

My chauffe air heater will not give off any heat

see this causes and fix it. God bless youIf an appliance that should produce heat does not, inspect the element for breaks or obvious damage. If you don't see any damage, test the element for continuity (see below).
  1. Turn off power to the appliance or device. If the unit is plugged in, unplug it from the electrical receptacle (outlet); if the device is wired into the circuit (such as an oven), turn off the circuit at the electrical service panel.
  2. Disassemble the appliance or device to access the heating element, following the guides in this book for your appliance. Some heating elements, such as plug-in units in electric ovens, are relatively easy to remove (see the Electric Oven Fix-It Guide).
  3. Set the multimeter to RX1 (resistance times 1).
  4. Touch the multimeter probes to each end of the element.
  5. High resistance (kilo-ohms or thousands of ohms) indicates the heating element is okay. A reading of infinite resistance indicates a broken element.
  6. If a heating element is faulty, replace it with one of the exact size, shape, power rating, and resistance.
  7. Reassemble the appliance or device and turn it on or plug it in to test it.

Twinstar electric fireplace - fireplace heat comes

I have the same problem. Heats fine for a 1 minute then 'click', and no more heat. If I turn it off and wait a few minutes, 'click' and it will blow heat again (for 1 minute...).Link from Mike didn't help because this is an Electric heater, in an 'amish fireplace'.I'm thinking it might be a faulty 'thermal fuse' or possibly the thermostat. http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4969160_thermal-fuse-work.html
