GE JVM1440 microwave - Fan only works on 'low' speed

Only working on low would probably be either a bad blower motor or a bad main circuit board. I dont remember ever having to replace a blower, but the main board has relays that switch back and forth for what ever speed you are trying to use. Problem is the main board will be quite expensive. May want to look at prices on new units. And remember on a new unit you get full factory warranties on everything.

Installation of undercabinet microwave

If the OTR is the same model, the mounts should be the same. As long as you use the same bolts/screws from the old one, or the same length new bolts/screws, it should be a fairly simple exchange.

Braker keeps tripping

I need to know a few things.

1. Did you just place the Microwave in service?
a. If so you may very well have an over laded electrical circuit in your Kitchen. Try moving the uint to anouter cirsuit and see if the breaker for that circuit trips

2. Did this recently start happening?
a. If so then there is an internal short in your microwave.
b. This is usual;ly caused by a couple of things
1) The power diode for the magnetron is shorted
2) The capacitor has shorted
3) A door microswitch has failed in the open position (internlock protection)
4. The magnetron has failed.
These are the most common problems but there is always a chance of having a grounded power wire somewhere inside the chassis. I did not solve anything here but these are the most common problems. Cheers!

I would say you have blown a fuse on the unit. As you now have found out, that's one of the reasons why you unplug any electrical equipment before working on them. You will have to take the outer cover off the microwave and locate where the fuse is. It is most likely on the back of the main PCB or possibly inside a plastic sleeve or mounting near where the cord enters the unit.

What is the wattage

It should be listed along with the model and serial number inside the door frame or on the back side... If it doesn't list wattage, Volts X Amps = Watts.
