Most laptop keyboards do have the same problem regardless of the model. The keyboard gets the heat from the processor below which if gets high, short circuits the plastic sheet in the keyboard which caused the issues. You are using wrong keyboard type. Numeric button 2 has @ sing in USA Keyboard and in UK Style Keyboard Numeric Button 2 has ".

When you were typing something you probably hit the left shift key along with ctrl. Hold down the left shift and ctrl for about 2-4 seconds and you should get your question mark back.

To make it so it never happens again, go to control panel / region and language / keyboards and languages / change keyboards. Remove every language except for English (us) or whatever region you want to use. Before you accept verify that your keyboard is on your preferred language before you do this. check and make sure you are getting the proper slash when you push slash, to change it if you're not getting the slash use the (left ctrl + left shift for 3-4 seconds) if that doesn't work then try alt and left shift.

Can you provide anymore information about your problem? What's the model of your laptop? How long have you had it? How long has the issue been happening? Did you spill anything on it or know of any reason a key would be sticking? What key is it? etc, etc... There may not really be a straight up solution to your issue. You may simply have to replace the key or the keyboard if it's a key you use all the time. Replacing keyboards is relatively straight forward. However, you can try to shoot some canned air in to it or see if you can pull the key off and clean it. There's probably a youtube video of some sort that will show you how to take the key off and put it back on or how to replace the keyboard altogether. Some models the keys are easier to take off and some are easier to put back on. Good luck.

Turn it over and smack it on the back. See if the problem goes away. If you have spilled something on it that was sticky you can use armor all to clean it. Otherwise replace it. Generic keyboards are not expensive.

Hi hmmm.....has any liquid been spilt on this keyboard? I seen this a few times with water damage. im guessing it does this in every application? if its not then its a settings issue with the OS. can you provide laptop model number, OS version and if its one app etc. laptop keyboards are cheap these says is easily swapped out but we can check that out too Thanks

The Tab key moves from field to field and the arrow keys move thru items inside the fields.The enter key executes command in the field. So Tab to user icon or password field type in password if needed and hit enter.

With that many keys not working it may be time to replace your keyboard. You could however, disassemble it and blow it out with an air can.

It is in Windows configuration that it can be changed. In the configuration panel, choose the Language Icone. From there, it depends on which Windows version you are using. You might have to select the actual language and then put it down, on second position; only after that you can delete the language option.

I guess you mean the keyboard function act as though the fn key is always being pressed? If so this is likely to be a hardware problem. Look at gently prying up the key (most keys are press fit and can be removed, lift it off as level as you can, should be relatively easy but don't force it!) once off try moving the rubber pad below the key with a small blunt instrument, keep testing other keys while doing it to see if the fn effect ever lifts of, may have got wet or something underneath the key.
