Hi
Have you done all the updates from windows updates that may give you the driver
if not
If you click on this link it should take you to the website
www.dell.com go to support/downloads then look in scroll down boxes for your make model and operating system
then scroll down to find the driver that you are looking for and most of these site have a scanner there that if you click on it and give permission at the top of your screen when asked
the scanner quite often offers the driver up for download
good luck
if you cannot find a driver there
go to
www.intel.com use their scanner and see if they will offer you the vga driver
i quite often get my vga drivers that way
HI, My laptop Dell Latitude D600 was working fine
Hi
from what you are describing it sounds like one of 2 things
1) The cpu heat sink has gone which has caused the CPU to become unstable
2) The hard drive will need to be replaced
You will need to book the laptop into a reputable PC shop for repair
If this has been useful please leave positive feedback/vote
How to fix my dell E4310 from freezing while im using it?
There are a number of reasons that the unit could be freezing up.
- Corrupted file(s)
- Low available disk space
- Viruses and/or malware
- Too many add-ons/toolbars/etc.
- Heat build-up
Number one is the hardest to find. So start with #2. The computer needs free hard drive space to operate. If the disk is nearly full or is very fragmented, this can slow the machine to a crawl. Check for available space and if there is plenty (20GB or more), then check for fragmentation under administrative tools. If the defragmentation tool recommends optimization, allow it to perform it and see if that helps.
For viruses and possible malware, run your virus scanner. It is always a good idea to get a second opinion on such things. Malwarebytes is a free malware scanner that works very well to find adware and some things that many antivirus programs fail to detect.
Many user feel that they have to have every bell and whistle. I've seen some browsers with 7-10 different toolbar add-ons. These almost always come with some adware and always slow down the browser. Uninstall all but the most essential toolbars for the best performance. Heat is a slayer of machines. Laptops are very susceptible to heat issue since they are often placed on beds, sofas, carpets, and yes, even laptop. Many of these units draw cooling air from the bottom and exhaust it to the side. Even those that draw air from the rear and exhaust to the side will often intake large amounts of dust, grit, and lint. These can partially or completely clog the heat sink unit and cause heat buildup of the processor. This will cause the processor to work slower and can actually cause it to thermally lockup, resulting in the need to reboot. Many units can be accessed to clean with a removable cover on the bottom; others may need to be serviced by a technician to clean.
My latitude will not power up. I have a good power

Can you hard wire power to laptop?
NO
if you do, a noob will blow it to kingdom come. as in letting the smoke out.
the power-pack does 3 things
it has the correct DC voltage and wattages
and #2 prevents fire when the PC fails and things short inside.
and prevents huge damaging surges landing inside the PC
buy used power pack off fleabay and win.
i bet I'd mow one lawn and and buy one
How To Change Dell BIOS SplashScreen Logo on Dell Laptop
Hi Jean-bernard,
Dell BIOS is locked so no changes can be made to the same. However, there are third party software available in the market which might help but this might void the warranty on the computer.
Thanks and Regards.

E5500 Latitude lap top can't excess bios
On most Dell's, when you start it up, for a brief moment, there is a black screen with <F2> for BIOS, <F12> for boot options. Instead of holding the F2 key, try pressing it multiple times before Windows logo shows.
Also - on some laptops, you can go into BIOS only from a complete shutdown state.
