old post, doing all 2018, that is NOT the full model number, why post lacking that or what OS you run ,windows, what? ok windows login works, but what is a TILE? ok this is simple really, you slammed the OS some way. that means changed OS in wrong way. Well, a couple of possibilities you can check out are:Reboot and use your F@ key to enter SETUP. Check to make sure that nothing has changed the boot device or boot priority of the machine. If it is not looking in the right place, it won't find the OS.If that is OK, then you may have had the boot sector of the Hard Drive damaged or corrupted, or a Virus may have done a dirty deed to you. You can try rebooting into SAFE mode...if it can get that far...and running CheckDisk on the boot drive. If that fails, most manufacturers have a set of Recovery options that you can use to regain use of the Laptop. Depending upon what is provided (and what you did when first setting up prevent this such as creating bootable recovery media) you may get everything back or you may end up with a system fresh out of the box and find all your personal files gone.

If you are attempting to use Recovery and this is happening, Most likely you have a corrupted recovery partition....

If you are attempting to load Windows XP from A CDrom (Externally)
you will need to use an XP Cd that has integrated Sata drivers.. Windows home/pro 32bit does not..

FLIP IT UPSIDE DOWN AND NEAR THE TOP AND TO THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES YOU WILL SEE SLIDE BUTTONS. ONE IS FOR THE BATTERY LOCK AND ONE IS TO LOCK THE NOTEBOOK SHUT. JUST SLIDE THE BUTTON AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO OPEN IT.

the laptop is faulty i dont think it can be repaired your best bet is to take it to a computer shop and ask

This could be a bad battery. Does it go on if you plug it in and then wait awhile?

You can reinstall it. Click on Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Reinstall Application & Drivers> Select the appropriate sound driver (Realtek) and install it. Also visit http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx
and select the appropriate model number and sound driver (realtek)

you should be able to go into the settings of the firewall and allow you home local network by setting up the IP address range If its Norton, Mcafee etc and the subscription has run out - that can cause blocking, if you do not intend using these firewalls, then you can remove with a removal tool which is available on the manufacturers website if that does not fix the issue - post back the actual firewall wall make and version you have

 it might have generated bad sectors.

make more number of partitions (about 4 ) and try to install it in any of partition if it works dont use the partions in which u are not able to  install
inspite trying all these if os  cant be installed then hard disk will be faulty

If you look at the top of your netbook, you will notice there are a few buttons, one of them will have a picture of a satellite on there. That button is your wi-fi button and will allow you to switch wi-fi on and off

In your start menu, all programs you can go to accessories and select entertainment. there is a sound recorder program in there. by default you will record from the mic next to the cam.

here is the problem. Those mics are pretty direct dimensional and will not pick up soudn more than a few feet from them. You will be better off getting an external mic and adjusting its volume over trying to use the builtin one

there is only one way to do this you need ubuntu on a cd and insert it and boot from cd and install on to the ram you need atleast 1 gig then you can retrieve your data and put it on a external hardrive. Then you need to reinstall windows i suggest windows 7.
Never put a password on vista it is to overdone with security

you should be able to select the thumb drive as boot priority in bios and then just boot with it plugged in

· First troubleshooting - When you turn the laptop on, are you able to see the splash screen? This would be the computer manufacturer's screen display that usually shows a picture but may also be text and usually appears right before the Windows logo screen. If the answer is yes, then more than likely, the operating system is corrupt. This can be caused by several things including viruses, power surges or hardware failure. If your computer hits the windows screen and reboots back into a loop, this is also signs of Windows being corrupt.

Solution - Take the hard drive out of the laptop and slave it to another working desktop computer to retrieve your data. You may need a special cable for this because the laptop hard drive is smaller than the cable in a desktop. This process can be done, taking precaution that both computers are off while slaving the hard drive. After you attach the hard drive, turn the desktop on, it will read it like another drive and you will be able to pull all of your information from it. You only want to grab the user files, not other data and run a scan to rid of viruses. Then attach the hard drive back on and reformat it.

· Second troubleshooting - If you hear the operating system chime but do not see a picture and all the lights are on, then this would indicate that the back light on the screen is out. You can test this simply by hooking the laptop up to a monitor and see if you get a picture. If the computer screen shows on the monitor, then your back-light is out. If it doesn't show up then your video graphics card is out.

Solution - If the back light is out, it is easier to order a new screen (new or used) from eBay and just switch out (simple process and you can find a replacement for under 50 dollars on eBay). If it is the video graphics card, then you can also purchase one from eBay and switch out (a little tougher because you have to take the top of the laptop off). You can get assistance with this from the manufacturers website (service manual) and pull specs for free.

· Third troubleshooting - To test the battery, take the battery out of the laptop and turn on with just the adaptor. If it boots, then the battery will need to be replaced. There is no way of testing the power adaptor but 85% of the time, this is the problem. Even if lights come on, the adaptor sometimes gets so overheated that it silently goes out but gives just enough power to make the lights come on. The power adaptor can be found on eBay for under 20 dollars and is cheap enough to replace (first) to make sure that is not the problem. The battery can also be found on eBay for under 60 dollars.

· Fourth troubleshooting - If you do not hear any beeps and the above solutions did not work. Then your motherboard has failed. This can be caused by surges or dust. You can purchase a replacement from eBay for a fraction of the cost and replace (this is tough and I am not sure if they have specs for this). You can do it yourself, just be sure and put everything back together as it was.

I had the same problem with my Aspire One in the past. When I would plug in my Aspire One it would not charge, but would emit a foul smell. I had to send mine to Acer. The problem was caused by a short in the charging terminal on the mother board. They replaced the mother board and since then my Aspire One has been running as good as ever.

the drivers need to be installed first off so go here:

choose netbook, aspire one, AOa150, choose the operating system that is on your netbook, there is going to be two drivers for the camera. Choose the first one in the list and download it, then run it and see if the camera works after that.

If not then download the 2nd driver and if after you install that, the camera still doesn't work then that means the camera is bad for sure.
