I have the same problem and found that on the Lotus it can not be deleted from the TEXT button on the keyboard. I am not sure if that is what you mean. The people that come up when you hit that text button are there for good....Unless you go to settings then scroll to more, then to security and put in your code which is the last 4 digits of your phone unless you have changed it, scroll to delete / reset and scroll down to reset all settings or reset phone....NOTE: this will reset your phone to factory settings you will lose everything pictures etc. it depends on how bad you want the history gone. This is the only bad thing about this phone. The other new LG phones have one more option to the list which is delete all messages. You have to go through the same steps but there is no trace of past messages. Sorry!!

Welcome to Fixya. On the Lotus dial ##3282# scroll down to Advanced, choose View, then scroll down to option 5 which should be the Lock Code and select it. You will need to enter your security code here which typically is 6 zeros if you haven't change it yet.

The only way I know of recovering from this kind of problem is to take the phone into your provider, and have them reflash the memory. You can try to take the battery out, and short the battery terminals inside the phone, but that usually won't work. Your provider should be able to reflash the phone, or offer alternative fixes.

Hi, well most likely not, however IF they were stored on a SD card IE: NOT in the SIM memory, then well maybe, if you try to use a SD card file/data/photo recovery program, use a PC & a USB SD card converter, and well you might be able to get something back, again, ONLY, if NO other data has been written to that area where the message data was stored to begin with after the deletion.

Whenever a item is deleted seldom is the actual data wiped out so to speak, usually all that happens is the file is "Hidden", so the the operating system cannot "See' it. This is done by simply substituting the first character of the files name, with a non-printable character, such as a $, %, #, etc, and this then makes it invisible to the system, while actually still being there, eventually though this area will be overwritten, this will then of course remove the old file entirely, or nearly so.
you first need to find out what the file extension, is used so that you can search for it with the recovery software if you are able to.
