My Samsung GT-E2120i phone won't work. When you turn it on all it does is display GT-E2120 SAMSUNG and then it just blinks - display/black screen/display/black screen etc. Then it won't turn off - the only way to stop it is to remove the battery.what do I do to solve this?

thats a loose connection inside causing it to short get the phone send back asap buddy and get a new one before anything worse happens these are terrible phones

First, the sticker color doesn't always indicate whether your phone has water damage.

The first thing you need to know is that water - even fresh water - contains salt. And, salt is an excellent conductor of electricity. Even when the water evaporates, salt deposits remain. Even a very small amount of salt will cause the electronics in your phone to short circuit thereby keeping you from using certain features on your phone.

We run into this problem all the time here at the shop. It has been our experience that even if the phone is properly serviced and begins to work properly again, the fix is short lived. The phone usually begins to become non-functional a short time later (maybe a week - maybe two weeks later.)

I recommend that if you carry insurance on your phone with your cellular provider, that you submit a claim for a new phone. If you don't carry insurance, contact your cellular company and tell them your phone has water damage and see if you are eligible for an upgrade. If you are, you can get a new phone at a substantial discount. If you're not eligible, they may make an exception

I would however, strongly recommend that you not waste your money on repairs, under the circumstances.

Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a different provider.

At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right soft key. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 will work too, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.

Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.

Power down your phone and insert your SIM. Then power back up your phone.

At the SIM pass code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes. So that will totally UNLOCK your phone."

Do not try it more than 4 times because it might lock your phone.

Normally, this phone accepts the microSD memory card.
So whatever would make it not to collect the memory can only depend on two things.
The first thing being that you are not trying to insert the memory card in the right way and
the second thing being that you may not be trying to insert a microSD card.
Also, ensure you are inserting it into the right slot and not the slot for another connection other than the memory card.

Unfortunately my sony ericsson vivaz have this problem too. Fortunately, my phone is within the warranty period. You MUST send it to the Samsung Service Centre for manual repairing solution.

It changing to headset mode... go into your profile settings (normal, work, silent, headset, etc) and you should be able to change the various options for when you have the headset plugged in.

(You may have to have the headphones plugged in at the time to change the settings...)

The puk code is provided by the service provider. It comes with your sim card. So all you have to do is just call the customer care center of your service provider and ask for the puk code of your number. They should be able to provide you with it. The pin code also comes with your sim card. You should have asked the service provider the very moment your phone requested it. Anyway now ask for your puk code.
