There is a fuse inside (not sure where on that model) that kills the power. There is also thermal fuses and thermostats that will prevent the heating element from getting power (usually clogged vent). But no power is the fuse (usually encased in white plastic so it doesn't look like a fuse.

If I was in your position, I will highly recommend consulting a professional to move forward accurately. The certified technician will need to check the heater coils and connections for open circuits. Depending on the diagnosis the heater or wiring may need replacing.

Normally it is a Heat sensor attached to the Heater Coil housing.BUT just lately I've saw one of the Coils itself come apart and ground itself to the inside of the housing. It actually checked out good. BUT the housing had to be taken apart to see the problem.

If the unit still works, it just does not dry, please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

this could mean the keypad is locked if there is one or...the door lock is having an issue and needs to be looked at by an appliance repairman

Frigidaire Affinity dryer model AEQ7000ESO error code E68 (stuck button). Sometimes a 'stuck button' code really is a stuck button. I took the circuit board off the front panel.On the back side of the front panel, each button has 3 short plastic posts, 2 on one side and 1 on the other.The center part moves to push a longer piece that contacts the circuit board. When I push the top of a front stadium-shaped button, the center plastic piece moves too far, touches the short post, and sticks (maybe due to age). When I push the bottom of the front button, the plastic piece goes far enough to contact the circuit board and not far enough to touch the short post. To prevent a stuck button, we now press the bottom of the front buttons.So far so good. If it happens again, I plan to shave or file a little bit off the top edge of the post to give it more clearance. 1st photo: pencil points to stuck parts. 2nd photo: unstuck parts, 3rd photo: the front of our dryer.

If you have already tried cleaning the vent then the problem is with the Thermostat. When the thermostat goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair.It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing, if thermostat reads continuity then please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Your control is faulty and will need to be replaced. Access to it is gained by removing the top panel.
