BAd hard drivers can not be fixed. (fails smart test) if corrupted only HDD yes, if not bad above the HP manual covers how to do that at Hp.com the manual , chapter named recovery shows how. NO PC told at all, just HP, HP.COM Again , they tell you how to run diagnostics there. on their PC's (they made it and support it) HDD MEANS HARD DISK DRIVE, i guess boot drive. IDK

If you are not conversant with machine code, the computer will not know what to do. Get your windows disc,USBkey or whatever you have as a bootable system disk and place it in the relevant socket/DVD drive.
