How can i repair my screen?
I had this problem, its a commen problem with IBM Thinkpads, their good laptops exept their clunky and its easy to get lines in the screen, its from picking the laptop by the screen, dont take it to a profesional , they will try and rip you off by getting you graphics reworking. costing you 100+ dollars, go to ebay, get a brand new screen that fits your model and install it yourself, if you dont know how ask a friend that does. this can all be done for usually under 40 dollars. and remember dont pick the laptop up by the screen anymore.

Why is my microsoft product code not working
is it the origional MS OS that came with the laptop and are you using they key on the laptop?
if using a retail copy of Xp/? you must use the key that came with it ... the laptop has a OEM key that is only compatable with the os that came preloaded on the laptop .. therefore u must use the product recovery that came with the laptop

Its working but no image its black
you mean no display? if yes, try using an external monitor and see whether it displays, and if it does, then check your flex interface between upper and lower parts.

Locked out of my em250
run your system on safe mode and then create a new account as your system administrator and then delete the previous account, you will not lose any of your data on the hard disk.

I bought tow eM250 series EMachine (ACER) mini
I also purchased two of these computers. I wiped the HDD and installed Win7 Ultimate. I could not get the wireless NIC driver to install. My solution was to use another wireless USB NIC and use Windows Update, Voila everything was fine. Iam writing this post with one of them. I am somewhat confused by your post referring to a Broadcom NIC. Both of my machines have AtherosAR5B5 wireless network adapters and Atheros AR9132 PCI-e Fast Internet Comtrolers. Broadcom has always meant Bluetooth driver to me, but I may be mistaken about that.
I have always thought of eMachines as being the cheapest in both price and quality but I did a rather extensive investigation on netbooks in general and could not find and justification for spending twice as much for a more popular name brand with basically the same capacities.
I don't know how to do one to one assistance on this site, but if you can figure it out I would be more than willing to help you. I am very pleased with these two netbooks!

I forgot my bios password
If you have forgotten your BIOS or system password, there are no software tricks or magical gimmicks that will get the password cleared. Laptops are different in that they are designed to not work with “backdoors” etc. for security reasons. There is one true way that works most of the time and that is hardware.
The Cmos (RTC) battery that is mounted on the motherboard in most cases holds the key, if your motherboard has the battery that is connected to the motherboard by using a two wire socket that plugs into the MOBO, then here is the procedure.
On the motherboard where the battery plugs into, you will see two pins sticking straight up, these engage the plug on the battery side. These two pins have to be “shorted” and then the motherboard powered up for approx. 30 seconds, then power down the system and replace the Cmos battery and reboot. Only reboot with the AC adapter plugged in, not the main laptop battery. Your password problem should be cleared up. The best way to “short” the pins is get another cmos battery and cut the wires from the battery part, bare the ends and twist together, this will short the pins. Make sure you tape the connection good on the jumper you just made….don’t want to touch anything else with powered up bare wires. Good luck.
If the battery is the disc type and sits in a horizontal socket on the motherboard, then it is a little more difficult to perform but the theory is still good, the positive and negative have to be shorted and the same procedure done. In most cases, just removing the cmos battery does not work in laptops, this is because there is extra security needed because of their portability.

Laptop wont boot up
Stay away from Emachines in the future. Pay another $100 and get a real computer.
1. check that nothing is in the CD-Rom drive and restart the computer.
2.Shut down the computer. Unplug the AC power. Remove the battery pack. Wait 2 minutes or until machine cools.
try powering on comp on battery alone, then try with AC power alone.

You should have checked the power voltage rating before using another power cable.
The computer memory or processor must have gone bad.
Check the power rating before connecting another inverter.
