MT2000

With so little background or history info I would ask if the battery is fully charged. It could have a battery that is weak. Let the battery wear down completely and recharge it, then try it. Was it was programmed successfully or did someone program it at all? Need more info.

I have a motorolla jt100 with no sound

Since you are receiving the weather (Wx) channel, the radio appears to be receiving fine. It might be that your fire frequencies are not programmed into the radio. Check your programming, as well as checking your scan list. The Wx channel should not be included in the scan list, as there is constant radio traffic on this frequency, and your radio would get stuck there during the scan process.

Problem Recieving

First try programming the Receiver for Carrier only Squelch,,ie no PL /TPL, then check if it will receive the repeater OK.
If the audio still cuts in and out then (assuming no fault exist) either you mis-programmed the Frequency slightly, or the TPL choice was incorrect.

There is also a possibility of a Bandwidth mis-programming.

Repeaters may have 12.5 KHz or 25KHz channel bandwidth. Basically if you set your radio to 12.5 KHZ and it receives a transmission from a 25Khz Repeater because of the higher repeater TX Deviation the audio on your radios RX will cut in and out and may sound distorted and very loud as well. Your radios TX would sound OK though, but would have lower audio level when heard on the repeater RX. Does your TX work OK through the TPL repeater?

Need Mt2000 owners manual

We were unable to find one posted on line. The part number is 6881076C65. It is available from your nearest authorized Motorola dealer for $30-$35 (US dollars).

You might check with your local law enforcement, as this is a common radio they might have used. It is possible you might find a manual through them.

Will the software from a MTS2000 work for a

The MTS2000 shares software with the MCS, software package # RVN4176N includes DOS software RVN4097 for the MT2000. (It may be on the same CD, not sure.) You will need to use a "slower" computer, era 1999-2003 to program, due to speed issues.

Disclaimer: Motorola software is proprietary and only offered by Motorola to authorized dealers and entities.

Motorola HT 1000 programming cable

Sorry to let you down, but the cable will only function with the appropriate Motorola software (and possibly a radio interface box (RIB) if the cable type you have requires one.) Software is only available to dealers. If you are needing reprogramming, it is generally available for between $25-$40 US.

No charge

Here are a few troubleshooting thoughts:
1) Check your charger contacts for film/debris. Use a pencil eraser to clean them. (This can be done on the charger and the battery.) If the charge light comes on and stays on consistently you know you have good contact.
2) Be certain your radio is shut off when on the charger.
3) New batteries sometimes need initialized. It will sometimes take 3 or more chargings to fully charge the battery. Check the date code of the new batteries to be certain what you obtained is truely new/fresh. Contact the vendor where you purchased the batteries and let them know of your difficulties in charging the new batteries.

Motorola HT 1000

Your radios might need reprogramming. This is done by a Motorola dealer using the appropriate cable and software. The software is not available for end-users. Cost generally is $35-$40 US.

From the information you provided, it is unclear if the radios previously worked together; or if the radios are the same model number. These are facts the dealer would be able to inquire about, and it would help them determine if your radios can talk to one another.

I have a pair of Motorola MS350 radios. 1 works fine but one does not receive or transmit. I have both radios set up the same.

If your frequency and code are set the same, you have either a battery problem or a radio problem. For a quick battery test, swap the battery pack from the good radio into the one with the problem and see if the problem moves. Then you will know if it is simply the battery. If both settings are identical and the battery swap does not solve the problem, you have a defective radio.

I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio

Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.

Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?

It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable. Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device. You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.
