Most likely the power supply or Main PCB

The whole system might have been reset to its factory settings, after you hit the reset button. Do a re-tune, and do all other adjustments similar to previous screen, before you hit the reset button. There is no other fault. Refer its user manual for details.

It sounds like your power supply is cycling. Check power supply output and replace. I've been told by a TV repairman that the power supply (and motherboard) in smaller sets is the same as yours.

Try the source button on the TV itself, not just the remote. If this works, check the remote batteries.

There are number of things that can be bad and what's more there are number of very different Sanyo DP50749 models which have rather different internals and different known issues. What you need to find out first is the chassis of the TV, which is going to be on the back label, something like P50749-00 for example, and supply that too. There are several possibilities here. To be able to help better we'd need to know the model number. The most likely suspects are the T-CON board, one of the two backlight inverters and the display itself. Of those only the last one is usually not curable. Flickering would be caused by either the T-CON or the panel.
