Its not because there was no signal it because your sending to much resolution at that tv so it shut down to protect itself.

Allot of people auto think that there tv are hd so any signal will work, That is not true and you need to check your video card to see if its supportive of this Polaroid. Not all video cards work to pass signal does not matter if its meant for the computer or not.

1. check your video card resolution
2. Adjust it to the lowest then try again.
3. Try a different computer.

If those 3 does not work then we got something and that will need to involve a locate TV repairs to figure out what is wrong with your tv or its setup.

More likely to be the porblem in the T-CON board (driven by Logic bd.) or the main Logic board.

Power supply board have problems,just not dead yet.Replaced the power supply board,will solved this problems.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Your power supply board needs to be REPAIRED not REPLACED, replacing the board will just make the problem happen again in two years or less, if you can use a screwdriver you can send me the board and I will repair it for less than it would cost you to do it yourself ($50) with the correct components. The common issue with polariod is there power supplies, Your going to have to fork out something for the repair if you not willing to buy a new TV here, A new board in this would be $175 labor another $80 or $90 tops. So you getting into $250 fast. This is why I say to all my askers NEXT TIME buy a extended warranty. This will need a new power board sorry to break it to you and its the common issue I am seeing on fixya.com from my premium chat customers. You post on Craigslist an ad that you sell an LCD TV with broken screen; you put your initial price at $50 and you sell to the highest bidder within say a week.

Then you buy a new TV.

This is your optimal course of dealing with the situation.

this will require you opening the back cover of the television to check if the wire used to connect the speakers are not having partial contact and do check for dry soldering on the audio section of the printed circuit board.

Don't know your model. Look at www.encompassparts.com. Click Guest, US Dollars. Type in model # and go, for parts list.

Does your set respond to the controls on the set itself?

If you, are you able to access the setup menu to perform a factory reset?

If so, press menu, navigate over to setup, then choose reset defaults, to see if that improves your situation.
