Tv turns on than screen goes black while every thing else works fine
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should be troubles hooted. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Element tv no picture just sound already replaced inverter board. What else could be wrong
Check voltage supplied to the back-light inverter board; from the main power regulator board. If there is no voltage; check for the reason. If there is voltage; and still the back-light does not turn on; two possibilities are there.
1. Damaged back-light lamp/s.
2. Start up voltage to back light inverter board does not comes from the main board. If this is the case, main board is faulty. Contact any service technician; if so.
