Element Electronics FLX1911B 19 in. LCD TV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My tv has sound but no picture
Grab a flashight and shine it on the screen -if you can see a dark picture you need an inverter board (more than likely) if you cant i'd investigate the main board. if you have no electronic experience I'd take it to a qualified electronics tech.
Thanks,
Michael

My element lcd tv model number flw1920b just stop
Two capicators on the power supply fail. C300 (680uf 10 volts) and C303 (1500uf 10 Volts). With a little electronics no how and a soldering iron you can have it up and running in a couple of hours. Parts at Digitkey (P12365-ND) and (493-1500-ND) Hope this helps.

Standby
Hi ya
I had the same problem just today with my Goodmans GTVL26W8HD TV I was at it all day trying to get it to turn on. It was like it was stuck in stand by mode, Until my partner opened it up and unplugged the control panel at the top of the TV ( The manual control buttons ) now it works via the remote control . He does stress however thats its extreamly dangeroue to mess with TV;s as the electrical current in a TV even when unplugged can Kill , So if you don't know what your doing leave well alone and get someone who does know what they are doing to do it for you
Good Luck :-)

Element tv has power but won't turn on
lik2brew, Well here goes!! Your LCD panel, same as lcd panel in computer MONITOR, requires a little more than 120vac from the wall to create the cool, crisp, colorful images you see on the screen. It is my best GUESS, that your unit has a "FAILED" SMPS, or is "IN SHUTDOWN MODE" trying to save itself from having a catastrophic nonrecoverable event! e.g. sparks, smoke, fire. The SMART "switch-mode-power-supply" is designed to detect FAULTS with itself and other peripheral circuits. Your LCD TV is no different than the CLASSIC "BLACK-SCREEN of DEATH" that thousands of 14" to 32" LCD computer monitors suffer from!! Your set just has 2 more things to go wrong! A tuner, and audio processing circuits. While your waiting for the HOPS and BARLEY to ferment, surf over to YOUTUBE and view some of the longer video clips of typical "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" and find out what LCD owners do to fix them or to who they "farm out" the repair work to.!! If your screen had nice, bright, crisp, colorful images displayed on it just before the BSoD hit, then there is a good chance of effecting a lasting repair to the unit. If this was of some interest to you please rate on fixya. 12fixlouie

My daughter smashed my Element tv lcd screen when
Basically any damage occurs on the screen itself, the screen can only be replace as a fix. There is no way a damaged screen because it like glass. Replacement screen part would cost more than the TV is worth. It's cheaper to buy a new TV at this point.

Element ELDFT406 shuts off by itself every 10-60 minutes
Ok, I am having the same issue. I just bought my tv - same model at the Target Black Friday sale. Can I ask, did yours make a low humming noise before you changed it out. I still am within my 30 day exchange policy, so I am thinking it would be wiser just to exchange it... but my concern is, would I get one with the same problem (or worse) in exchange?
