hey i have a 50 inch flat screen plasma tv that keeps turning on and off non stop everytime i try to turn it on and its not giving no sound or picture
You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.

sanyo 50 inch DP50740 what happens is when I plugin the TV nothing happens but when I push the power button the power light turns on for 2-3 seconds then turns off (when I push it again it will do the same thing 3 or 4 times then it stops and I will need to unplug the TV, I tested the fuses and they are good, I have looked at the board nothing looks wrong the caps look good no dark spots on the board we don't know what is wrong whit it, I know that it just stop working one day. we also got a new power board but that did not fix it Nathan
Try to change the Inverter board (Buffer board).

At first the TV will click on for 30 seconds show no picture or sound then click off. I replaced the power supply and now the green power light stays on but no picture. It looks as tho there is a green blinking light on the main logic board that is blinking. Could this be caused by the Y and Z sus? Or is it the main logic board?
I have same problem. Walmart is selling Sanyo junk You are not alone lots of web chatter about these lasting 2 years or less, Mine lased 19 months, Trash it & buy a different brand. I originally was going to buy a Samsung & now I will.

How do I connect my PS3 to my sanyo dp50747 in hdmi? I have everything hooked up correctly, but its not coming up on the TV. What do I do?????
If you see a no signal message, then it means that the signal output format of the PS3 does not match . It happens if you have previous used it on another tv and now connected it to a different tv. To resolve this, turn off the PS3 . Press and hold the power button on the PS3 till you hear three BEEPS. The PS3 should automatically detect the tv's resolution and the initial setup screen should appear. After that you should just follow on-screen instructions to set it up.

Have a friend who owns a 50 in Sanyo plasma tv. DP50747. Repair man came out and looked at the tv and said she needs to replace the main board and could cost between 700 and 1,000 dollars. Problem. Tv was working fine one day, the next day wouldn't work. She can hear it power up but nothing on screen or no sound.
She gave 1,500 for the tv and does not want to pay nearly what she gave for it to fix it.
Any easy solutions?
Just saw your post, I have all the parts you need to fix that TV. I if know what part you need I can help. 702-951-1313 ask for Lamont.

I have a Sanyo DP50747 50'' Plasma TV.
I hooked my computer up to the TV via DVI to HDMI. This part works great.
The problem is trying to get audio to work. The manual says that if I want to get audio for the HDMI, I need to hook the component cables from my PC to the Video 3 audio inputs.
When doing this, I get no sound on the HMDI1 channel. The sound does, however, work when I change the channel to video 3.
I called sanyo support. I rebooted the PC, rebooted the TV, but still cannot get the Video3 sound to work on the HDMI1 channel. The Tech also instructed me to set the TV to factory defaults. None of this worked.
He ended the phone call by saying that the problem was on the PC side, and that I need to change my speaker mode on the PC from PC speakers to Line out.
This makes no sense. Currently using windows 7 ultimate, and I cannot for the life of me see where I can change this "setting". Also, the sound does work on video 1-3, so I know that the cable is good and that it is getting the signal through, so I just don't understand why it would work on all the other inputs, but not this one.
Normally this problem is simply a matter of selecting the correct default audio playback device in the Windows control panel (sound option).
Check the Playback tab and set the default device to either DVI or HDMI.

fuse location for a 50" sanyo tv
The fuse should be located on the power supply board. You'll have to remove the back cover to access it. I posted a link of what the board should look like.
