My vizio gets green lines across screen and looses sound after about an hour of operation sometimes with loud buzzing noise. Help!
Since the video and audio both are affected, we have to assume it is in the central processor next to the tuner, which separates these two. I suggest you note down the IC numbers, look for its datasheets and study what are the functions of each IC. Then look for any leaky/dry capacitors or dry solders in the board in the surrounding area of the IC. What I normally do is to replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the boards, if the TV is more than 5 years old or its use is so extensive. It is proved from my experience that the TV works like a new one for many more years. But you should do this only after ensuring that the TV is brought back to normal working condition. And, this requires a lot of patience and precision work, lest the boards should get spoiled.
It won't turn on
I do believe, that if you have a movie, in the correct format, then you can, play a movie, Video, from the USB port, you simply, plug it in, and select, from the menu, and it should play, consult your manual, for all the settings etc.
How to identify part # on circuit board on visio P- 46 wide screen
Is it a small board with just a few large components that the power cable plugs into? Which would be the the power filter board, it would likely contain relays that kick on and off to allow the flow of power to the power supply. If this is the board you are referring to it is not likely the issue, it only kicks the power off when the protection circuit engages or the power supply trys to draw to much power. If its a different part you are referring to then please add a picture. Here is some
basic info on power supply's and testing

Hello; I am John at J D Electronics in Poland, Maine. I have now
repaired 9 of this same model in my shop. The set may be dead always or
work intermittently. There are 2 versions of this piece of junk, but I
have only seen this one. They all have 2 capacitors that fail on the
power supply board just above that red chopper transformer. The are
labeled C233 and C234. These are 3300 ufd at 10 volts and 105 C temp
rating. You can buy these for about $1 each from Digi-Key Electronics plus shipping. There are some cautions worth
mentioning. Make sure the set has been unplugged for a day or more
before starting the disassembling. It is VERY important to keep the set
face down on a soft surface when doing ANY work on the set. This crappy
designed set has a glass faceplate that will fall down if you don't
have it face down when all the back screws are removed and it is very
hard to put it back into position if it falls. The bottom plastic
speaker strip has a million screws to remove both from the bottom edge. Then take out all the screws for the metal back and unplug
the speakers. The connector wires to the speakers will not just pull
off without you pressing on a side release pin for each of the 4 wire-
Stupid design again!. If you are not able to solder these parts in , you can send the board to me for $25 labor plus $10 return shipping and $4 for the parts ( or send your own). We accept only cash or USA postal MO. There is NO Warranty on this repair. It is a better than 80% chance this will fix your set. Call me at 207 998 5687 Good Luck! John

My vizio vp322hdtv10a wont turn on any more
Soon after you do this for about, oh id say 2 months... depending on use... you will no longer get the problem. The TV will not turn on at all. I have the same problem with my TV and I'm taking it apart right now, and am going to see if its just the capacitor that no longer works, or if its the whole board that is fried. If you still get the orange/white vizio emblem, DO NOT UNPLUG FROM WALL. Unplugging from wall will completely drain the system and you will no longer be able to plug it back in after a while. We had the clicking thing for about 2 months before the tv died.
