Yeah this series of Lenovo's 3000 is using a webcam of another manufacturer. So Vista can't detect it because by default Vista doesn't have its driver. So I recommend you to go to Lenovo's website & then go to DRIVERS & DOWNLOAD section...and then enter your model number..
After that it will display u whole list of drivers available for this laptop.
And then you can download your webcam's driver for VISTA 32 BIT...
Install that and it will surely fix your problem.
The Version that comes with the unit is a trial version. You have to purchase a full version of 2007. But why pay for Microsoft when you can download OpenOffice, which is free and fully compatible with MS Office: Download it from here: http://www.openoffice.org/ Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_8b8c2cd6ce148309
Ok it seems you should check its ram module. Reseat it or clean at the most with soft eraser its edge connector. But you should first disconnect its battery and other power source, and shut down completely before performing a cleaning on ram module.
You cannot grab the drivers from one computer and copy it to another computer, you need to know which files and also there would be some register entries.
If you have the driver disk, then you can use the same disk to install the driver onto another computer, provided they are identical.
After you download the driver file, click on this file and it will unzip/expand the drivers and copies these files to the hard drive in c:drivers... take a note of the folder it has created to store the driver files and then go to this folder and run the SETUP file to install the driver.
Some USB devices draw too much current from the computer's USB port and you get an exceed power error message.
To get around this problem, get a powered USB hub and connect it to the Computer's USB port and then connect the troublesome USB device into the powered USB hub.
For fdisk utility Boot from xp bootable cd,Go to the repair option. In this section you have to mention username & password. Then start Fdisk /f utility.
you need to go to device manager... right click "my Computer" select "manage" select "device manager" click the + sign for "mice and other pointing devices" select your touch pad...
try to enable it or find what is wrong from there
You'll need a USB mouse or something of that ilk to do it.
