Why can't I send or forward e-mails?
A question that has many specific answers depending on your mail server. They are the ones who set the rules, and each one is a little different. I will try to walk you through the General steps, but you will need to fill in the specific information that your email provider requires.
I am attaching an image that will help you visualize along with the steps. The image starts at Step 2. Warning, some of the specifics have changed in Yosemite vs some of the older operating systems ( I am using Yosemite ) My information is obfuscated to protect myself.
A. Mail App Open
1. Click on Menu Bar: Mail: Drag down to Preferences and let go.
B.1. Prefferences Dialog
2. select Accounts
3. Click on the Dropdown "Outgoing Mail Server SMTP" lis
B.2 Dropdown List
4. Select "Edit SMTP Server List..."
C. SMTP Info Pane Account info Tab
5. Select email account you are having an issue with
6. Description is optional, but helpful for most people Name it accordingly
7. Server name. Will probably be something like "smtp.servername.com" or mail.servername.com
8. Select on the "Advanced" Tab
D. SMTP Info Pane Advanced Tab
9. You need a Port Number. You can have the system Choose for you, as there are typical port numbers 25 for Non SSL and 465 for SSL are a couple of them (there are others) If your email server wants a non-typical port number uncheck the "Automatically detect..." (may be different on older OS's)
for example, my work email requires a 26, this is atypical.
10. Authentication. Many email services require it. Usually these days it is "Password" (Not shown) in this case, it is probably your email address and the account password. (but not necessarily) sometimes it is formed as accountName+serverName.com instead of
[email protected]
Sorry for keeping this so General, however, not any other way to do it without your specific information. Which you do NOT want to offer on the open web any way, hence my information obfuscated in the attached image.
Best of Luck!

My I mac 17" will not start
your power supply needs to be replaced or there is a shorted out wire or the connection between the power supply and the main board has worked it's way loose.
I have a gray bar on the left side of my screen on my desk top that I cannot remove to get a full screen. Help.
Hello. That problem can be hardware, such as a faulty mother board (the video card is part of the mother board on the iMacs). This also depends ont the iMac model that you have. If it is a G5, there was a series problem with condensers on the motherboard, but it is now too late to claim a replacement. If it is a newer iMac with intel chip, I would advise to bring the Mac to an AppleStore near your place or a repair shop for a complete diagnostic. I think that on an iMac, this kind of problem can't be software related, because it is an all-in-one desktop with no separated screen settings.Hope that helps
Imac SEEMS DEAD????
Go to the apple web site there are many write ups for screen and motherboard resets of the PMU. If not you mave have to send it in for service or find a local apple store to see if they can help.

Why does Bing keep popping up when I want to get
Because Bing is too often implemented as an intrusive and annoying facility.
Many Bing-enabled webpages seem to be coded such that just mousing over any number of common words and phrases pops up unwanted and unneeded Bing boxes relating to those words and phrases, blocking what you are currently trying to read.
The people who design these pages apparently believe this is a wonderful and helpful new way for websites to work. I'm not one of them, and user experiences like yours are the reason for my opinion.
The solution is block the Bing website:
Step by step:
1) Open the IE options.
This can be done by using the Tools menu within IE and selecting “Internet Options”, by right-clicking on the IE icon on your desktop or Start menu and selecting “Internet Options”, or by launching “Internet Options” from inside the Windows Control Panel.
2) From the IE Options window, select the Security tab
3) From within the security tab, click on the “Restricted sites” icon and then click the [Sites] button right below it.
4) A list box window will pop up. In the “Add this website to the zone:” filed type in *.intellitxt.com then click the [Add] button.
5) Close Internet Explorer. The next time you open Internet Explorer the change takes place.
