Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW 22" LCD Monitor - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a samsung SyncMaster
I see this monitor was produced in 2008. I guess you purchased it used. As used monitors cost any where from $10 and up I'd just replace it. It just isn't worth saving.

Flashing screen when i first turn on my SamsungSyncMaster 2232 bw
I had a similar problem with my LCD computer screen. I took it apart and noticed a capacitor that was raised up on the flat end and appeared to be leaking a substance. Replaced it with a similar capacitor and works fine, for three years now.

Check signal cables means there's no signal on input. If your PC still shows up on a different monitor then it's a time to replace a mainboard in your monitor.

My samsung syncmaster 2232bw wont turn on at all,
Solution for Samsung SyncMaster 2232BWplus:
The problem is bad capacitors: 5 pcs. 820microFarad – 25v and 1 pc. 330microFarad -25v. Replace these capacitors. Then re-solder the two transformers of inverter side. Also re-solder the power transformer and the inductor coil.
To open the casing:
At the bottom of the stand just twist the knob to unlock. Then, use a small flat screw driver beginning from the bottom (left or right) then using a hard credit card (or alike) then slide/glide it in between the cover plastics.

No display / the color ran off
Are you using an adapter? The internals might be faulty, so try using a different adapter. Also try using another cable to connect the monitor and desktop. Another thing you could try is checking if your graphics card (if you have one) is properly seated. Finally, check for bent pins on your cable, monitor, and desktop connectors.

Samsung black screen
Hi there, if you are experiencing something like a white cloud spreading across whole LCD panel, then unfortunately it has to go for a panel replacement .The panels are still expensive so I personally suggest to try buying a new unit cause of the warranty. Cheers.

Cannot attach base to samsung lcd monitor sw2233
Llay the monitor face down on the floor (I put it in the styrofoam from the package) and then put it up against a solid surface. Then push the part into the socket before attaching the round base.
I tried pushing down onto the monitor while holding it upright but that didn't work. When I called Samsung tech support the solution above is what they told me to try and it worked.

Syncmaster 2233 turns pink
There are two possible reasons for the color change that I know about. One is simple to fix: a loose video cable. Check that the cable is correctly and tightly seated to both the monitor and the computer. Try a new cable. (If the cable is permanently connected to the monitor, check the computer side of the connection. The cable screws can tighten the connector to the port.)The other possibility is that the monitor backlight is failing. There are places that sell replacement backlights (
lcdparts.net is one vendor). Unfortunately, you need to take apart the monitor to get the size for the backlights for your monitor. The backlights are usually on the edge sandwiched into the LCD panel and hardware.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

WHITE DISPLAY ONLY WHEN I SWITCH IT ON
First thing is to remove the 15pin cable completely and closely inspect the pins inside the connectors. Often these inadvertently are bent when inserting the connector. If any are bent, use a fine pair of strong tweezers to straighten the pins. Once this is done, carefully re-attach the PC and Monitor ends of the i/o cable and boot up your PC.If this does not work as a solution, reload the monitor driver for your monitor. You can usually obtain that free from the manufacturers website after entering the model number of the monitor.Good luckPoppa
