After several attempts, it should prompt by saying " forgot password." Click on that and it will ask for your email. Then you will recieve a link to make a new one. I always put mine in my notes app.
How do i mark the books to show that they have

Unfortunatelly Kindle does not have this feature. But the books you read get pushed down the
list.
Or you can delete the book by using these steps:
1. Select a book and click the left arrow on the 5-way button
that brings up a delete button the screen.
2. Press the center button and
you delete the book.
Another option is to move the book to a collection this is like to archive the books you already read.

How can I check my battery on my Kindle
Turn on kindle and go to options. Once there, go to device options. There should be something that says show battery percentage in status bar. Click the on option and it should be in the top right hand corner next to the WiFi signal.
My kindle won't start
I've heard of these problems before but without knowing your exact model number just try pressing and holding the power button for a FULL 40 seconds. Ensure that it is not plugged into any power outlet or PC first. Hold it for 40 seconds. Time yourself. Better to go longer than not the full 40. Hope that helps. After you've done that, power it back up.
How do I change my credit card details
Go to your computer, log into the Amazon website (.com or .co.uk or whichever is appropriate for you) and touch YOUR ACCOUNT top right of every page, select MANAGE YOUR CONTENT AND DEVICES, answer a security check and then select SETTINGS TAB.
you can now check, amend and confirm your associated credit cards. Check the exposure date carefully. Don't forget to amend your associated credit card with your 1-Click setting at the same time.
