Appears you are getting a weak signal at the channel 9 frequency. If you are using a signal splitter, try replacing it with an amplified unit since splitters always do the deed but they can and will reduce signal strength significantly. Also remember that digital signals are not like the older analog ones that they replace. They are not subject to ghosting but are weaker and susceptible to all sorts of interference such as a leaf, rain, etc. Your antenna is good. You also might try raising the antenna. The higher it is the better it works. (use some wire to further support additional height) Why do you think transmitters are so tall?!?!?

I have had the same problem. I called vizio they told me how to reset my tv. It did not help me, However, maybe it will help you. They said turn the power off, Unplug it hold in power button for 30 seconds then plug it back in and power it back up. My white light flickered and then nothing. So I am going to end up buying a new tv all together.

This could be a capacitor fault, or a surge might have taken out a transistor or several, or the EEprom may be scrambled because of electrical discharges. Google "Capacitor bulge" and then search Youtube for your make and model to see if anyone has done an instructional video. You'll need to be comfortable dismantling the TV and be able to use a soldering iron. If this isn't you then take it to a repair shop. Silicon issues are harder to diagnose without either seeing something that's obviously blown, or fault-finding on a board down to component level using an oscilloscope. But that's an incredibly tedious and time consuming. It's not something I'd recommend for a novice.

Two possible areas: batteries have become too weak to transmit if signal or Vizio remote needs to be synchronize with tv. I assume it was working. Try pressing button marked 'tv' close to bottom of keypad and then try on/off. A few remotes have a reset hole takes a paper clip, I do not believe your model is one. You should be able to test your remote with a cell phone or digital camera. Using camera on your phone, aim remote at camera as if cell phone was tv. Press on off key ( vol, channel up/down ) and if you see red light when remote buttons are pushed...remote is transmitting. If nothing...make sure you remote is not enough radio frequency or RF.
