It would not heat

Gas not being turned on, ignitor (should be able to see) not coming on, or if heat is felt but not drying the lint path from machine to where it vents outside could be blocked with lint---a fire hazard if this is the case.

Clothes not drying in one

You might try to locate the thermostat(s) on the dryer, it sounds like they are weak. Usually they are located down my the lint screen in the front of the unit or by the blower. Also make sure you don't have a lot of turns or kinks in the vent

Fuse is blown. does that

Check your venting and lint filter housing to assure no lint building up inside. This is the primary cause of fuse failure.

Fuse was blown on gas

I would look closely at the lint filter housing. It is accessed by removing the rear panel. They get plugged up quite often, so I suspect this may be your issue.

Not sure if this is my dryer but I have no heat.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Is it normal to get a faint gas smell when you

Absolutely. Your dryer runs on gas, and the gas kicks on when the heating element engages. It should be so faint though. If you smell it continuously then check your connections with soapy water, if their is a leak then shut off the gas and try using soap pipe dope, or teflon tape on the threads, then recheck. My guess is its the regulator near the heating element. Good luck

Not heating completly

It is probably only the ignitor is just cycling. First remove the bottum plate and tap on the gas valve as it sometimes rarely it will get stuck. However it is most likely a faulty timer as the gas valve uses the EMF or back voltage pressure to open the gas valve. If you get the ignitor and the solenoid kit for the gas valves you can't miss it. As stated it is most likely the ignitor so that is the starting point. Good luck!

No heat

there are safety switches like on the door, there are upper limit switches and any of these could be bad. Even a loose wire somewhere. If your mechanically inclined you can get a service manual from almost any appliance parts house, and it will guide you through steps to locate problem.
