I dropped a toy down lint chute

There are 2 screws at either side of lint chute. Remove them. Make sure dryer is unplugged for next part. Remove back over by removing 1/4 drive screws. Looking at the back, on the left you will see the back of the lint chute. remove the four 1/4" screws around the bottom and lift and remove the chute. There you will find your toy. be careful around this as the edges are sharp.

Dryer stop working has power going to all parts

Check the continuity of the thermal fuse, often the culprit. Also check the power relay. Sorry but I am not familiar with the Estate dryers. But the above are two common problems in a wide variety of electric dryers.

Model EED 4300TQO Dryer is cycling

Hi.

Start checking and eventually replacing the thermal fuse. That is the first part to replace when there is no heat. The fuse can be tested using a multimeter set on Ohms to make sure that its contacts are not open (impedance across its terminals is not Ohms infinity).

If the Fuse is not the problem test thermostats (there are three of them) and element itself. The parts have different impedance values. If any of the parts shows no continuity (circuit open), then the part must be replaced.

My dryer wont start

If you are having dryer problems and you cannot even get the thing to start, then you might want to start going through this check list of possibilities. There are a number of things that can cause your dryer to not run.

A couple of the most common problems are the thermal fuse has blown or the door switch is not operating properly. On many dryers if the thermal fuse blows, the dryer will not run at all. This fuse can be checked with an ohm meter. It should show continuity if it is okay. If there is no continuity then you need to replace it and also find out what else failed. This is a safety device that usually blows because something else allowed the dryer to get too hot. It is usually located in the back of the dryer, on the blower housing. Some are oval in shape and others are rectangular, usually with two wires attached.

A defective door switch or a bent door switch lever can also cause you to have problems. If the lever is broken or bent it will not activate the switch. If the switch is broken, this also will not allow the dryer to be started.

The push (or turn) to start switch can go bad, but is unlikely. To check this, hold it in or turn it and then check to make sure you have continuity with an ohm meter.

If the dryer starts and then stops when the switch is released check the control board or the ?even heat? control on some model dryers. Some dryers have a belt break switch that can fail or your belt may be way loose or broken.

Check for burn marks or burnt wires at the terminal block on your dryer, poor connections can cause all kinds of problems. Also poor connections can cause fires.

A bad power cord also falls into this same category.

Of course, always check that you have the proper voltage to the outlet that you are plugging into.

The drum on my dryer

See if the timer advances in the timed dry or the auto dry cycles. If the timer advances in timed dry but not in auto dry, then you could have a wire connection failure in the orange wire from the heating element to the timer.

If the timer will not advance in either type of cycle, then I recommend checking the timer part number that you are using.

Dryer stopped heating, in any

A dryer not heating is one of 3 things, the vent hose is clogged, the thermistors are blown, or the heating element is bad. Disconnect the dryer from the vent and turn it on to see if any heat is coming out the exhaust at all. If not then more than likely the thermistors are blown, there are two of them and they are mounted on the heating canister. They are kinda round or oblong shape with two electrical plugs on each one.

Replaced thermal fuse, thermostat, and timer,

I would check the door switch. Either the tang on the switch or the switch itself might be bad.
I would check power to the dryer. Number 10 is my primary suspect right now. You might have a bad motor you know. I looked up your dryer model number and it does not show a thermal limit like this one that goes next to the control thermostat:b74d06e.jpgc718aaf.jpgWhy yours don't show on the parts list is beyond me. Dryer will not heat up what part could be bad

There are lots of pieces that can fail. BE AWARE that you can DIE from errors with 220 volts, only proceed if you are skilled. But meanwhile, most issues happen in the breaker box, only 1/2 of the 220 volt breaker trips and is not obvious. Turn the breaker off, push HARD into the off position, and then back on. Test dryer.

Stuff that fails in the dryer are the control switch, metal, like a bra underwire, in the element, quick disconnects (look for discolored and melted plactic), and thermal controls. Again, do not go in there unless you consider yourself an expert. it is only a very small error that gets you killed, 220 volts (and 110 volts) plays for keeps.

Wont heat it is like a fusr blue will move and run

Unplug the dryer and the first thing to do is check for the presence of 220 volts at the wall outlet. If you lost one leg of the 220 volts, it is possible for your dryer to run but there will not be any heat. Once you verified there is definitely 220 volts at the wall outlet, remove the rear cover. On the lower right hand side you will see a silver canister which contains the heating element. Remove the lower two wires directly from the heating element and check this for continuity. If it is good, on the left hand side of the same canister they often install a thermal safety which may have tripped. Do the same test as with the heating element. Remove the wires and test the thermal safety for continuity. If this is good, move to the blower housing on the left side of the exhaust vent and look for a white piece of plastic which has two wires on it. Remove these two wires and check this item for continuity.
