Print Shop 22 Deluxe is not compatible with Win 7 (x86 or x64bit) Operating.

You have to use the Print Shop 22 Deluxe version 23.1 - compatible with Win 7 & Vista.

you should try this even if it is different version and the printer.

First design your envelope in Print Shop

Now before printing anything go to the CONTROL PANEL on your computer (start > control panel, works)

In the control panel (CLASSIC VIEW) find your PRINTER ICON double click find your printer in the list, right click, choose properties, find PRINTER PREFERENCES button at the bottom of the new window and left click, make sure that the tab labeled "FEATURES" is selected. In the "RESIZING OPTIONS" box there is a drop down menu that probably says letter by default, select the down arrow and highlight and click "CUSTOM", Here you will give your envelope a name like 'Envelope Invitation' then you will add the size in either inches or millmeters. Once you are sure the names is what you want and the size is correct first click on the SAVE button by NAME and then click OK. Now click OK in the Features window. And click OK in the printer preferences window. Close your Printers and Faxes Window.

BACK TO PRINT SHOP
maximize Print Shop again and your envelope that you were designing should be there. NOW, select either the print icon or File>Print, Next click on SETUP Where you see the PAPER drop down select the down arrow to select the proper paper. Your newly named envelope should be in the list, choose it, NOW DON'T FORGET TO ALSO CHOOSE SOURCE=MAIN TRAY. If you don't click that you might print it on photo paper, I always do that.

You can use the Windows Vista Compatibility patch which works equally with Windows 7.

You can download it here.


When the download is complete, close the Download window. Locate and double-click the Broderbund_Print_Update.exe file that was downloaded to begin installing the update. Then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

After the patch being installed, you can launch and use The PrintShop® 22.

Yo can go for a free upgrade to a compatible version.

Check with Broderbund - either it will work OK - some programmes do or you may have to buy an upgrade - when have you heard that before!!

if its a 32 bit it want work for windows 7.

make sure you have a default printer set up and all your pref set up and it should stop doing it

The specifications require Xp with SP1, maqke sure you have added SP1 aqt least to your XP version.

you could run the check disk utility click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive or control panel administrive tools,computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now,start should schedule this task when restart hope this helps

Print Shop 22 is compatible with Windows 98 / 2000 / Me / XP
Not sure if Vista or 7 will run it.

To get transparent background for your cropped image on Print Shop 22 Deluxe,follow the below steps.

1) Open the photo you want to crop the head off using the ' Edit a photo ' option from the Project Picker.This opens the photo in 'The photo workshop'
2) Now crop the area (in your case,the head ) with the free hand crop tool and click "Apply Crop'
3) Click on 'Save As' and and from the 'Save as type' drop down box select 'GIF' and the click save
button.
4) The saved image should now have transparent image.You can go ahead and use it on the body from the second photo and check it.

Note : The images can have transparent background in print shop only when saved as 'GIF' format.But it might also lower the image quality.You can use a photo editing program like Adobe
Photo shop to do such work easily and with quality results.

If you have new pc's you probably have a windows vista operating system. Check and make sure your program is compatable with the windows system that you have. That may be the problem since certain programs not set up for vista will not download or run in vista.

just got a new computer with windows 7 and wanted to use my Print Shop 22 deluxe but says certain parts are not compatible , What do I do ?
