My internet times out all the time
If it is restarting the processes of Trend Micro that you are talking about, click start and go to run. If you are using the 2008 version of TM, type tissuprt. on the first tab, click on start all components. That should start the processes.
Can not update software
Most likely the firewall on you security software is causing the problem. If you know how to disable it open your security software and turn off the firewall. After updating the software, turn on the firewall again.
If you are not able to do the above steps. We will have to disable it from MSCONFIG.
Click start – Run – Type “msconfig” – Hit enter
Click on the Tab “Startup” on the top, Click “Disable All” button
Click on the Tab “Services” on the top, Put a Check on “Hide All Microsoft Service” , Click “Disable All” button
Click OK.
Restart the computer and try updating the software now. It should work. Once updated, open msconfig again and select “Normal Startup” to reset it back to the default settings again.
I forgot my key number and password. How can I retrieve them
Best bet would be to ask assistance from someone with credentials to reset your user account. Otherwise you may try to completely default the device with directions included with unit. This may involve any software that came with it when new.
