How to lock this phone
Okay. Here are the instructions to set an extension pin and lock. If you lose the pin, you will lock yourself out of the phone and it will cost you to get the instructions to clear it.
From your phone, dial *799 1 PIN # PIN # . The PIN is 4-10 characters and you repeat it. Now, to set it dial *771 on the intercom. Your set is now locked. To unlock, dial *770 PIN.
To erase your pin, dial *799 0 PIN.
If you lose your pin, the system manager will have to clear it. Also, if someone makes too many attempts to find your pin, it locks the set :-)
Good Luck.

Press the MESSAGE button and look at the display. It will tell you where the message came from and one of the soft keys will let you delete it. When you clear all messages, the red light will go out.

Even once I've listened to and deleted my voice
press the MESSAGE button and look at the display. It can be lit from any other station, and in fact, will be lit if someone dials your extension and presses MESSAGE or dials a "4".
The display tells you where the message came from and one of the soft keys will let you delete it.

How do I get calls(caller id) to show up on LCD?
Panasonic systems require 3 things for CID, 1. CID service 2. CID hardware 3. System programming.
Once you get all 3 things, you'll have caller id. There is also some set programming to log and list calls that is found in the Operating Manual for your system.

My message light is lit SOLID and only follows the ring, so you must be talking about the FWD/DND light.
The Forward condition can be cleared, but you will lose the call forwarding to voice mail. The light can be programmed by your installer to be solid, instead of flashing, but the installer will have to do that.
If you're somehow oddly talking about the message indicator on the upper right of the phone which doesn't flash, them press MESSAGE and look at the display. It will tell you where the message came from and let you press CLEAR to erase it.

YOU NEED TO HAVE ACCESS TO SYSTEM PROGRAMMING 003 AND 004. UNFORTUNATELY, IT'S BEYOND THE SCOPE OF A FREE AND OPEN FORUM TO TELL YOU EXACTLY HOW TO GET THERE, BUT THE MASTER PHONE AND PROGRAM **1234 IS A GOOD START.

What happens when you dial 500? If that happens to be your VM access code, then try PROGRAM button and dial the following 90+500 STORE for 2-way record 91+500 (#ext optional) STORE for 2-way transfer to a mailbox, and 94+500 STORE for VM Transfer.
At the minimum you need VMT. I give the customer all 3 buttons.

What happens when you TRANSFER an outside call to that extension? If that works, you have Intercept issues which is handled with programming. If it still does not transfer, you have CF issues, started by a *710x command for both internal and outside calls.

The panasonic kx-t7633 has a
What color is the flashing light? Green is an intercom call and red is a call from an outside line. First try a new phone line cord and check if you have a bad cord. Do you have dial tone at other phones/jacks in the building? Unplug the extension line and plug in a known working phone. The phone needs repair if the your alternate phone works. If the second phone doesn't work at the jack, then the problem is in the wiring (at the jack or in the rest of the wire run) or in the Phone system. Depending on the jack, you can open it up and determine if there are any loose/broken wires. A cable tester that can do telephone lines (RJ-11) will help (some of these will handle power on the cable so check the specs for your phone system). If the jack uses a keystone, you will need to open it up and press the wires back down with the appropriate punch-down tool. You may want to pull the wires up and press them down at a different point (closer to the outlet box).
If none of the phones work then it is the phone system or the wiring coming into the building. I do not know if you can get to the service box and plug in a phone there. If there is no dial tone at the service box, get the phone company to fix it. If the problem is the phone system, you will have to consult a service person who knows more about the system.
I hope you find the problem to be simple, like a bad cable.

KX T7630: cannot transfer to the fax machine ...
If the fax is an exteinsion on the system, make sure the fax is programmed to answer on the first ring. You may have it set to 4 and the transfer recall timer is set to 3 so it recalls before the machine answers.
Check you fax programming at the fax menu.

CONTROL EXTENSION
By Class of Service (COS). It's an installer function, so you have to know how to get into programming and then you set up TRS levels.

How do i change the incoming ringer? i know how to
Press PROGRAM and the button 2 times. If it's an ICD group button, press that twice also. Now either dial 01-30 or use the navigator key. 1,4, and 9 IIRC sound most like rings, and the 21 or 26-30 plays tunes.
Use the ENTER button to save the tone. You have to do this on every single line or group you want to ring differently.

How to change message on Panasonic KX-T7633
The "manual" is the System installation guide for your particular brand of voice mail system. If the TDA system is recent, it will be a TVA-50 or TVA-200. Look in the section under Message Manager. The recordings are either Company greetings or Custom Service menus. The person who installed the system can set it up in a number of different ways, but there is a USB port and maintenance software that runs on a windows box that lets you see visually how the system is set up. You don't need it to make voice changes, but if you don't have a clue where to look for the greetings, it would be really advisable to get the software or have someone come in and show you how it works.
