Put in a comma in between the main telephone number and the extension, and then also put in the abbreviation Ext. Before the extension number.

It sounds as if you have DND - Do Not DISTURB feature turned on... There should be a light or indicator on the STATION itself giving the DND status. Carnac the Magnificent

Next time you have an incoming call: -Leave the handset down (do not answer the call). -Press the 'transfer' button to scroll through the different displays until the caller ID is shown. -Lift the handset to answer the call. -The next time you have an incoming call it should show the caller ID.

You have most likely inadvertently changed it to voicemail only. That happens frequently with my phone (hate it!). Had to contact the vendor to find out how to correct it by inputting a special code.

Hi Caroline, this kx-t760 doesn't have a answering machine function. This is why you can't find it in the user manual. The Music On Hold (MOH) is not connected on the KX-T7630 Phone but rather to the phone system. You will need to get an extension from the phone system and connect it to the KX-TVM50/200 Voice Processing System (VPS). Incoming calls are then answered by the extension connected to the VPS ... i sugest you get a Tech to help you with setup or get an online programmer to guide you on hardware setup and he does the programming for you.

Try using the programming software if you have them. Otherwise, there is a procedure on the manual if you have them. I use to download the manuals on the Panasonic webpage.
