It depends what telephone system the KX-T7730 is connected to. You should have a Panasonic box that says 'KX-TA624', 'KX-TEA308, 'KX-TES824' or similar somewhere. A Panasonic 7730 phone operates on 18 different Panasonic Key Systems. There are 5 or so different ways to record a message...which one is yours?

The 7730 was first delivered with the TA-824 system. It has the ability for announcements via DISA, which was built in to the USA versions of the TA. It's recorded or changed via the master phone and PROGRAM 911.

A Panasonic TVA or TVS voice mail system does auto attendant functions. It can have both company greetings and custom service messages. Those are changed via mailbox 998, the message manager's box.

Last, the newer system also have "bulit-in" voice mail boxes. Those greetings are recorded by 722xx commands.

Maby u change day mode to night, by 101 ext. go off-hook and dial 781#for day mod and 782# for night mode.
When on-hook by # u can check mode status.

The KX-T7730 does not have a battery. It's powered by the PBX system; this is normal for corded phones. It's not a password, it's a restriction. You change the Class of Service for the phone and put in the international code as a restricted digit. Check your Programming manual for the system. Carl

Analog Panasonic phones have one "ring tone". You program it to ring or not ring, but the tone is exactly the same. Ringing programming is in SYSTEM programming in the 40x's, depending on the cabinet. In a TA series, inbound ringing is program 408 409 and 410.
