I would check for power at the motors when the foot pedal is pressed, if there is power there, then either your motors are bad or just disconnected

look at the bad battery and get the voltage and amp hour rating, typically 12v8ah would be a 12 volt 8 amp hour battery, then search ebay for 12v8ah sla battery and you can order it from there and replace yourself, or contact the manufacture to get relacement

if you are familiar with a solder iron you could use that to reattach otherwise contact a service center to have it fixed

usually they run off of a different set of batteries, check if there is a screw that holds the player in, then remove the screw and check if the batteries in the back of the player are good

It is probably the battery or the connector. Those batteries are known for being junk and it isn't fair to customers at all. It is under powered, won't hold a charge and cost an arm and a leg to replace. I know I own one and finally got the solutions to overcome the expense to fix it. I would keep the 6 volt for the control and use 24 for the motor BUT you have to replace the motor with one that is 24

Where the fake AC is the knobs that say driver and passenger are actually screws... UN screw them and you will see the battery!
