I would recommend calling the manufacturer right away, or possibly returning it to the store. I had purchased the same system for my children a few years ago and after only 4 months it quit working completely. I was not impressed with the cheap feel of the product. I can't connect the controller to the console. It did work, but now the light flashes on the controller but not on the console. Any ideas?

This worked for me! Try removing all of the batteries or unplug the power cord and holding down the "ON" button for about 45 seconds. Then replace the batteries (be sure they are fresh) and try your product again.

I found this on there site and the 45 second "re-set" worked!

First, be sure that you have replaced the old batteries with fresh ones (we do not recommend rechargeable batteries in our products).
Second, if your product has a "Reset" button, try using that.
Third, try removing all of the batteries and holding down the "ON" button for about 45 seconds. Then replace the batteries (be sure they are fresh) and try your product again.

Unfortunately, there are nothing but broblems with all V-Techs.

I have gone through many MANY tries to get anything out of them as I had gone through 3 Vsmiles and 4 Vsmile protables within 6 months time.

You have gotten a lot of use out of yours!
They all end up with the same problem - first they stop recognizing games - then wont even power on at all.

I have Emailed them NUMEROUS times and have had no luck.

I will never buy - nor recommend V-Tech as long as I am alive.

Each time - I ended up acting unethically as them, and "purchased" a new one and "returned" the old one. If you have some spare time - just do a quick google search, and you'll find pages and pages of similar occurances.

Its hard to give a kid a gift, then not have it work after 1 day of use :D
