I had the same problem with mine. What you do is you go into closet, and when the screen comes up that says, "Please don't turn off the power or remove the game card," with the gorilla and smaller monkey in a tree, yank the game card out. It may take a few tries, as that screen is only brief, and you might not get it at the right time. Then the screen will go a translucent white, like you can still see through it but it's still white. After that all you have to do is switch it off and back on again, reinsert the game card, and then it will say, "The save data has been corrupted. It will now be deleted." Then you press A and it goes onto the adoption centre door screen, ready for you to adopt your first monkey! I hope this helps, as it did with mine. Good luck with it!

Easy one I had the same problem. enter the closet the game tells you not to touch the power button or the card as soon as you see this screen remove the card quickly it will corupt the save after the game has only one option erase all data and start over.
