Microwave making loud noise behind control pad and won't heat

Sounds like the magnatron (the bit that creates microwaves) could be goosed. Remove outer cover ( Isolate from the electric supply then remove screws at bottom on the sides).

Find big lump that says on magnatron with model nos etc on, any good electrical supply shop ( Maplins etc) should stock new one.

It is easy to change. It took me about half an hour having never done one before.

Buyer beware the price of the parts could be in excess of a new microwave.

Shop around

Why did the latch switch J61424tooap connector melted, could it be because of 3spots of bare metal on door frame?

It is most likely due to the connection becoming loose. A poor connection will cause the heat and melt it. You can replace the connection and it should fix the problem.

I have a panasonic NN-T993SFX 1250w microwave

Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean, solder and reset the board.

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had depositedthen it must be checked or replaced.

See link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1146/how-to-replace-a-microwave-guide-cover.html

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test. If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Thank You for using FIXYA.

Display shows a H98.

Error codes H95, H97, H98, and H99 on the Panasonic microwave oven signifies a problem with either the magnetron, digital programming circuit, or the inverter. These are not the types of issues I would recommend attempting to fix yourself unless you have the proper training and tools. The image below is from the troubleshooting flowchart out of the service manual:

As you can see you have to be able to measure certain circuits to be able identify the exact issue. Of course if you still have a warranty you should be able to have your unit repaired under it.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

Panasonic microwave ovens touch pad is not

That sounds like a condensation problem as when the microwave is cold the warm air from the kitchen that is laden with moisture is condensing and upsetting the control panel.
Keep it warm and dry? There is nothing specific though.
