If the plug has a reset button, try pushing it in. If not, it sounds like it has shorted out or a wire has melted.

It is more likely that the problem is the switch. It is poorly designed and tends to remain stuck partly in the on position, so when you try to charge it, the charger is supplying low power to the motor (not enough to run the motor) and over heats the charger. You can tell this by a dull charge light on the shaver. This can be fixed by dismantling it, cleaning the switch contacts and lubricating with an electrical contact lubricant. I just did this on my girlfriends and it's gone from dead to working perfectly. Do not use this in the shower, it is not made for this even if the manual says so.

Have just opened the same model -
First prise off the front and back "rubber" inserts - they should come unstuck quite easily. Then pull the bottom half of the case off the top half - it is held by 2 internal clips, one on either side of the inside black plastic casing - pull and wriggle and pull some more, and suddenly it will pop off.

The blades need sharpening, or replacing or you need to buy a new pair of Wahl clipper as they are the brand leaders and have a great after sales service. Remington make shavers, revolvers and rifles.

The rechargeable battery has failed. They need to be used, charged, discharged and recharged on a regular basis. If you don't, the internal makeup up of the battery damages itself. If you are going to use it, you can replace the battery, if not discard it or replace the battery and sell it on eBay as 'Refurbished'.

If you have pounted it correctly on the charger and checked for no power input etc, it may be faulty. Take it back for a replacement under warranty.

Try some lubrication. If you have not got the oil it came with, use a couple of drops of olive oil.

Trying cleaning it. There could be wax stuck. Follow the instructions. I would also suggest using different outlets to make sure. Hope this helps
