what color is the light when you insert battery? then what color is it when you try and fire the tool? you could have a couple problems, first does the light even come on? If not the battery contacts might be bad. second you got light but no fan, could be a spark plug wire, bent lower probe circuit board bad and lastly bad fan motor. Let me know about the lights first and we will go from there

It sounded good but made no sense. How do you remove the trigger/ squeeze handle assembly? This thing (Stanley TR70) is riveted together. The only piece that is removable is the staple feed tray.

For parts this old, I start out looking on ebay by the part number and brand. If that falls through, I look for the whole product on ebay because there might be one cheap enough to strip a part from. Fact is, I don't find the part elsewhere on the web, even in part replacement sites. You might contact customer service at Kango or Milwaukee Tools but such is a long shot. On The Skill Classic Router DH 4200 all I see is the on/off switch, speed, and how to adjust the height and Soft Start but I don't see how to remove the router bit. Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this router?

Try going back to basics. Yes, I've been caught out by something silly and obvious! Are they the correct OEM blades for that model? Are there washers/spacers fitted on the mount screws? Are they the correct screws? Have all the access covers and cutting guides been refitted correctly? Has the depth guide been set correctly? Some planers can be fitted with thicker or thinner blades depending on the model. Washers/spacers may need to be fitted under the blades so they are 'trapped' and lift the blade high enough to clear the screws. Are the original screws 'dome head' or 'countersunk'? Domes will sit higher and touch the wood as the blade spins. The access covers, cutting guides and depth gauges could be out of position affecting the cutting platform.
