DigiWeigh 100 X 0.01 Gram Digital Jewelry Pocket Scale Questions & Answers
How can you fix error on screen can it be reset
It often just needs recalibrating. Try turning the scale on while holding the mode/tare button with nothing on the scale. Then press the tare button again. It should show a calibration weight which you should put onto the scale. Then it automatically calibrates.
My digital gram scale does not work. the screen has some kind of word. Please help
Try recalibrating it by turning it on while holding the "tare" or "mode" button. It should show a raw data from the sensor then. Press the tare button again and it should calibrate the empty weight. Then it will show a specific weight you should put on, usually 100g. It should automatically finish calibration now. Hope this helps. The words before calibration on my scale was OUt2
Operating instructions for Volt -100 pocket scale
If you don't have the measured weights that sometimes come with scales or can be purchased individually, I'd recommend using a United States nickel/5 cent coin. They are supposedly an exact 5 g's each, and a Volt-100 scale requires 100 g's for recalibration. Therefore, you can recalibrate your scale using 20 nickels. I also use a Volt-100 and so far this has worked for me exactly; the most it's ever been off is .02 g, which is basically nothing.
What you do is remove your batteries, (I'd replace them with brand new ones if you have the option) then place the scale on a completely smooth, perfectly level, flat surface. Power the scale on, make sure it is reading 0.00, hold the M (mode) button until CAL comes on the screen, release the button for a quick second, then press it again one more time (quickly, don't hold this time), and then wait until "100.00 g" is flashing on the screen. Then you're going to place your 20 nickels on the scale as smoothly and with as little jostling or movement as possible. After a moment, the screen should read out "PASS". You then power the scale off (don't weigh anything before turning it off as it can possibly adjust the calibration you just set or weigh out heavily or light) and to test out your newly calibrated scale, turn it back on and weigh one nickel. It should be exactly 5 g's, with no more than a .02 digression in either direction if done properly. Good luck!
Scale is reading F--H
Mine did this also, I got a replacement and it also read F--H. I took all the screws out - they hid them under the bar code sticker and under the stick-on faceplate where the buttons are - then found that the screws on the load cell which is sort of like an aluminum tuning fork had been tightened so much that the cell was reacting to the screw force, not the scale pad. Release all the pressure and you may be able to make it come alive again. One of my two is working now but calibrating is another thing all together because the linear counting depends on the loadcell screws being set just right.
My scale is frozen displaying f--h how do I fix
Reset it!
Turn off the scale. Press and hold the MODE button and turn the scale
on. Release the MODE button you will see the scale's internal count.
Press
and hold the TARE button then press (don't hold) the MODE button you
will see the full capacity is changing. Keep pressing the MODE while
holding the TARE button until you see 100.00 on the screen. The reset
is completed. You may need to recalibrate the scale after the reset.
