Bad rings, broken piston, head gasket leak are all possible here. Take it to a motorcycle repair guy for correct handling

Do you have spark? easy test is to pull a plug wire, hold it close to metal with a stick or other non conductor. DON'T USE A SCREWDRIVER or other metal object. IF you have spark then its a fuel problem, check the tank, remove the fuel line into the carb, getting fuel? If all else fails take your Yamaha to the local dealer for correct repair

have a look at the cdi plug ...one of the terminal in the plug cluster may have a broken wire or not making good connection with the cdi.

my quad wont start at all it turns over but not getting spark whats wrong with it ??

That problem has happened to me to and i just ajusted the needle on the side becuase it was too rich or the breather on the gas tank sometimes that gets fratured and the gas fumes cant get out right

take the carb off and clean the jets inside

I've heard that the CDI box tends to go and usually costs around 5 bucks although I don't know how to test them yet

in order to tighten your chain you can take a link off which would involve using a grinder, if you dont have one than go to an atv store and ask them to do it. theres a clip on the chain which holds it togther, remove the clip without damaging it than just pop the link off. that will take the chain off. i dont know what type off atv you have so there are probably bolts that hold pull the back end to tighten the chain look for those and if you can find them than tighten them.

for your engine do an oil change and drain out the carborator. if you need more help let me know.
