Replacing the drive belt Nordictrack

basically you will be just about to take your treadmill, almost totally apart. But the are not many nuts and bolts to solving your problem, first Lay treadmill on its side and locate the rear roller bolts, on mine their are 2, most tread mills are all the same, remove them 2 bolts, Now locate the front roller bolt, 1 bolt, remove bolt, your belt is going to be very loose now, on the side that you would be walking on, Is a board, 6 phillips head screws, Hold the board to the metal frame, remove them, remove the board, then go back to the rear roller, And remove the plastic end caps that hold the rear roller too the metal frame, by gently tapping them off, remove old belt from rear roller, Now go to front roller, and remove belt from front roller, and its time to Install new Belt, AND AJUST NEW BELT, Put belt on front roller and reinstall roller, put plastic end caps back on frame, and then reinstall rear roller threw the belt and reconnect to the plastic end caps on the rear of the frame, Now reinstall the board with 6 phillip screws, to the metal frame, Now turn treadmill upright again, Its time to AJUST YOUR NEW BELT 1st Center your New Belt, Then tighten rear roller bolts, ( Pay Attention ) Count even amount of turns for both Rear roller bolts, Then Ajust front roller Alignment, Their is only 1 bolt on most treadmills, So if your belt is pulling to one side when you turn the treadmill on,it means you still have to ajust the front roller ajustment screw, What I Do Is , I USE A small leveling tool, For the front roller ajustment, It KEEPS the pitch EVEN on both sides of the front roller, and this is HOW YOU REPLACE YOUR BELT AND AJUST THE NEW BELT, and save your self some money, enjoy, in you need to contact me, [email protected]

My Nordic Track exp 1000x started stopping after

Your walk belt is worn. The friction from the bottom of the belt is actually causing the motor to overheat (there is a thermal cutout inside) When the belt wears out the cloth on the underside becomes flattened causing too much surface area to contact the walk board

The belt has been replaced and is slipping

* take nail polish or paint and place a mark starting on the front roller pulley and going onto the front roller metal shaft
* then try to walk on it and see if the white mark separates
* if it does then the roller is bad and would need replaced or tap screws placed through the pulley into the metal shaft to hold it in place
* if it doesn't separate then the drive belt is slipping and most likely will need replaced, although you could try spraying belt dressing on it to see if that would be a temporary fix.
* if neither of these is your problem and the walk belt is slipping then you will need to try to adjust the screws in the back of the treadmill through the end caps. these are allen wrench screws.
Tighten each one the same amount such as 1 full turn to start with.
see if you can now walk without it slipping.
If not then tighten 1-2 more turn on both sides.
If after 2-3 full turns it is not tight enough
I would recommend replacing the walk belt.

Hopefully this helps with your problem!

My question is, last night, I set the speed to

A treadmill will shut down from to much friction which is due to high motor current because the walkbelt and deck are not properly lubricated. I would recommend replacing the motor controller, walkbelt, deck and applying .5 oz of lubricant on the deck every 3-6 months or 100 hours of use. This will extend your treadmill's life many years.

C2200 belt is slipping How to adjust??

If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled. If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller. If the drive belt continues to turn but the front roller stalls, you may have a broken front roller pulley.
Find the motor mounts. Many motors in Icon treadmills have a main pivot joint in which a bolt runs the full length of the motor mount. This bolt will require loosening to provide maximum adjustability. Some models have a single jack bolt and others have an auto tensioner. Single jack bolts are the easiest to adjust.
the drive belt must be tensioned by hand. While one person applied increased tension to the drive belt, the other person should tighten the motor set bolt(s)

The belt on the treadmill is sticking when i get

UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches above the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened

There is a belt hidden under the hood that connects the front roller to the motor (motor/drive belt). Start the treadmill at 3 or so and carefully apply pressure to the walking belt until it slips/stops. Watch the front roller. If it continues to spin when the walking belt stops, it’s the walking belt. It the front roller stops with the walking belt, the motor belt is loose and needs adjusted or replaced.

To adjust the walking belt, locate 2 hex head bolts, one on either side of the deck on the very back of the machine. These bolts will be recessed inside the plastic covers. Your treadmill came with a tool for this, but if you can’t find it, a standard (not metric) allen wrench kit will work. It’s helpful to have a wrench in each bolt so that you can adjust them at the same time, but one will work.

The allen bolts thread directly through each side of the rear roller. As you tighten the bolts, it pulls the rear roller away from the front roller, tightening the walking belt. This also centers it; if you tighten one bolt, it pushes the belt towards the center of the walking deck away from the bolt you’re tightening. So if the belt is too far to the right, tighten the right bolt and it will move towards the center.

Place your wrenches in the roller bolts and turn the machine on to 3-4 miles an hour. Keep your fingers clear of the belt, it will eat them. This method is quick, because you can see the belt move as you tighten one side or the other. It takes a few seconds, but if you tighten the right bolt for instance, you will see the belt move to the left. If the belt is loose but centered, tighten each bolt ½ turn and then get on the machine and see if it slips. The user manual will tell you to pull it up a couple of inches to test the tightness, which is a relative method and doesn’t necessarily work. My wife can pull on the belt and get 2 inches, and I can probably get 3 or even 4 if I’m showing off. The best way to test it is to gradually tighten it until you can run on it without it slipping.

You should lube the belt a couple of times a year. You can get them from iconfitness.com

Good Luck!
